There was a huge bouquet of roses on my desk when I came into the office on Monday morning.

“They were delivered thirty minutes ago.” Dani explained.

By Kevin, I thought. As if reading my mind, my phone rang.

“Hey, are you at work?” Kevin asked me.

“Yeah, just came in to see roses on my desk. Any idea where they came from?”

“Take a guess.”

I laughed and shut the door. “Is this part of the deal? I thought we only showed love in public?”

“Yeah it is. People in your office will see it and know how romantic our relationship is. And I did promise you gifts.”

“Well thanks. I like it.”

“Any word from Breed?”

I sighed as I sat down. “ No. Nothing on Lois yet.”

“Maybe you were wrong. Maybe she isn’t cheating.”

“No. I know what I saw.”

“Well if she is, Breed will find out. He is good. How about lunch?”

“Sure.”

“See you later.”

I hung up smiling. Lunch with Aunt Viv yesterday had been great. Watching her and Kevin together was so sweet . And t
