I had just stepped out of the shower when Jason called.

“Jan can you head over to the party and wait for me please? Something is wrong with my car, I may be a little late.”

“Sure I can. But if you can’t come I will understand.” I said.

“No I will come. I will be there as soon as I can.” He promised.

I hung up and got dressed. Kevin had said he would be at the party, I hoped he would. I was anxious to know if he had come up with a plan, and if so what was it. Time was running out. On Monday Lois would have a controlling share in Gabhill and then my Dad would be in real danger.

I got ready and went to join them in the living room. Dad and Lois were about to head out.

“Can you give me a lift Dad.” I asked.

“Sure sweetheart.” He said.

“What about your date?” Lois asked.

“He will meet me there.”

Anna walked in.

“You guys off already?” She asked.

“Yeah honey, coming with us?” Dad asked.

“I will go with Justin. He will be down in a minute.”
