I left Jan’s office, feeling on top of the world. It was as if I had won a prize and I had, her.

Her feelings for me had returned. I could see it in her eyes when she leaned forward to kiss me.

Damn it! Her dad just had to interrupt.

But I knew it didn’t change anything. We were inally on our way back together, thanks to the luck I had seeing Lois and Don at that hotel.

I was whistling as I entered my office.

I had some work on my desk which I quickly got done, then began thinking of how to catch Don and Lois. I didn’t want Jan involved. It had to be a way it couldn’t be traced to her, just in case. I didn’t want her in any danger. Thanks to my dad I knew some people in law enforcement. So I made some calls and by lunch time I had spoken to the FBI and arranged with them to come pick up the duo. Now all we had to do was wait till Jan could tell us when they would be together.
