Something was missing

Vanessa’s POV

It’s been more than two weeks since I came to this hospital and had my baby. It was high time I left here, but mom wasn’t seeing things from my perspective.

She was scared something might happen to me or the baby if I left before the doctor’s approval, but my mind was made up, I would leave here today, come what may.

If not because I couldn’t sneak out with my baby, I would have left here ages ago. What were they keeping me here for?

Was Rodri doing this because he was scared of what his father might do if he took me to his house? Even at that, I still had mom’s house to stay.

I’d seen in the movies where patients sneak out of the hospital and still survived, but I hadn’t seen anyone sneak out with her new born baby. It would have been helpful in this situation.

“Vanessa, you’re being stubborn.” Mom said again. Wasn’t she tired of using the same lines over and over again?
