Sending her packing

Eve's POV

"You are going nowhere!" 

He looked mad. His blue checkered shirt bunched around his shoulders as he folded his arms. His eyes glared at me, threatening to turn me into ice. If this were a normal household, if this was any bit like the home I had grown up in, I would ask him how his day was and what he had done for the day.  

I would ask if work went well. I would ask if he missed me.  

But this was no happy home. I was delusional to think that if I remained meek and calm, I could make him a better person. I was delusional to think I would not lose myself in the process. Because I did.  

I lost myself. 

And then I lost everything else that was precious to me. 

My family. My life. Everything.  

Visiting my mother was the first step I was taking to make things right.&nb
