Adam's POV 

"Perfect, thank you Gentlemen," I told the board and rose to my feet. They rose as well bowing their heads as I walked out of the meeting with Lillian in tow. "That went well, yeah?" 

"A hundred and ten percent," She chuckled. "You might want to check your phone though Boss, it rang like a gazillions of times. "

We stepped onto the elevator and I allowed myself to relax when the doors closed before us.  

I had moved from one meeting to another. And considering it was a few minutes past five in the evening, I desperately hoped that was the last meeting for the day. Just another day in my life.

Meetings, more meetings and a lot of phone calls from my mother badgering the shit out of me. It had been just a day since she had banned me from seeing Eve- not like I was going to see her anyway.
