Chapter 73

It's still raining cats and dogs outside though it's been two hours since we arrived at the villa where we are supposed to stay for the night.

Kairos was sleeping in our room upstairs while I had just gotten up for the thunder woke me up and I couldn't find my way back in dreamland.

A few steps away from the first floor of the villa. I heard chopping noises, an ASMR, and with those sounds. I quickly assumed that a private chef was now working on our dinner. My feet move to bring me to where the noise is coming from. I saw the back of an old woman, in her early fifties I assumed. Her hair is almost white, tied in a bun and kept in a hairnet, as I was watching her. I saw her halt from chopping whatever it was that was placed on the chopping board and then she slowly turned in my direction holding the cutting knife that had taken maback.
