CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE

My heart raced while I listened to the starter talk.

He spoke about me going to the warehouse to meet his driver, who was already there, so together, we would find a way to bury Chris. He talked about Allison's men. They were no longer at the site, so the place was free for us to go to.

I listened to the mysterious caller's instructions. I had so many questions, but the caller was firm in his request. I didn't know what to do. Against my better judgment, I decided to do as he asked.

While he talked, I just nodded as though he could see me. I told him I would come and he hung up afterwards. I turned to Stella, trying to control my emotions. Any mention of Chris's name caused me so much pain.

"What did he say?" Stella asked me curiously.

I sighed and began to narrate to her all that he had said. Tears wouldn't let me talk, so it made us spend longer time discussing the five to eight-minute call I just made.

"Nora, calm down," she told me and hugged me.
