Chapter 95

(Cattleya POV)

"Are you sure you're going in?"

Jaxson has been repeating the same questions to me since we both got out of bed, which caused me to smile.

Jaxson sleeping in the same bed with me felt more casual now than it did when we were first laid next to each other. The two of us are becoming so comfortable with one another that I am beginning to worry that I might lose the man who does nothing but cradle me in his arms every night.

"Don't worry about me, Jax. I've had it worse when applying for tons of jobs. This won't be easy, I am sure of that. But this is not gonna be that hard for me to ask for any personal guard. It's time for Gunther to be with his buddy for some quality time, don't you think?" I moved my eyebrows up and down to tease him before bursting into a giggle. "Seriously, I'm fine." I started to grab the doorknob to get out of the car because we had been parked in front of it for a while.

"Are you sure you don't want me to go in there and use my... You know. My name?” He uttered hesitantly as if he's try"Are you sure you're going in?"

Jaxson has been repeating the same questions to me since we both got out of bed, which caused me to smile.

Jaxson sleeping in the same bed with me felt more casual now than it did when we were first laid next to each other. The two of us are becoming so at comfortable with one another that I am beginning to worry that I might lose the man who does nothing but cradle me in his arms every night.

ing to hold back his words.

"No, but thank you." I let go of the door knob for a moment and tilted my body a little bit to face him. I took Jaxson's hand as I tried to find his eyes. "I know you are concerned about me because Daniella may or may not be inside but I will just be fine. I don't have to use my husband just so the agency will accept me. However, I might consider that, when I get into that door, I will scream that I am Cattleya Santos Madrigal. What do you think of that plan, huh?"

Jaxson chortled because of the expressions that I made on my face, trying to demonstrate my plan.

"Alright," I muttered as my hand crawled up to the back of his head and caressed it. "I'll go in now. I can't promise to update you at any second but I promise to tell you everything once we get home. As for you, I know it will be another busy day so if you happen to need a hug-"

"Can I just call you and you will come right away to give me a hug?" Jackson interrupted me.

"No. I was about to say, just ask Gunther for it.” I guffawed because of the disappointment on his face. "I'm going now," I gave Jaxson a small kiss on his cheek before I opened the door to finally get out.

I let out a silent gasp while my head deliberately tilted up as I tried to look at the entire building. "Oh, wow... It's really the Miranda Modeling in front of me. I feel like I want to throw up.”

When I slightly turned around I saw that Jaxson hadn't left yet and he could see that I was nervous and suddenly got out of the car to escort me inside that's why I quickly feigned a confident smile and waved at him. I waited for the car that Jaxson was riding in to leave and move away before I turned around to face Miranda again.

"Okay, this is it." I talked to myself and then took drastic measures.

I never thought that this would ever happen in my life. I have a very different vision of my future and I can say certainly that modeling isn't part of it at all. But now that it is right in front of my face and the opportunity is calling me directly in my ear, I just can't turn my back to it and say no. I have to do it. And I know now, that I grew my love for myself and my photos. My past self would be very proud of me.

"Uhm, I got an invitation from Mrs. Miranda Cooper.” I politely said to the desk clerk in the lobby. "I am actually here to have an audition because I heard that the agency is currently in search of new models."

I bit my lips with both my brows lifted upwards as the clerk gave me a strange look from head to toe. I wish she's not judging me because I really tried my best to look my best today.

"Excuse me, could you wait for a minute?" she said in a flat tone which I quickly responded with a nod.

While the clerk was pressing the telephone which I am assuming that she will call Mrs. Cooper if she really knew me before she let me in, I averted my eyes and then focused on the few ladies at the lobby. I wish I didn't feel left out right now but I am starting to do it. They all look like ladies with a high social background just like Daniella. All of them are dressed in high fashion and they really are beautiful even without having a second look.

I wonder if they have ever heard my name. I mean, I have three million followers now so they may at least come across my name, right?

I trembled inside my head because I realized what I just said. These girls might be even having hundreds of million followers by now based on how much glam team they carried and their bodyguards. Every movement is taken care of by their team. There's one person assigned for the hair, for the face, for the dress, for the shoes, and for the accessories. These gorgeous women are real life models and I can't stop myself from adoring them and starting to fantasize about their lives. I thought I couldn't be any girlier, but I think I am still a girl after all.

"Miss?"

The desk clerk grabbed my attention again that's why I shifted my gaze to her.

"Can you give me your name, please?"

"Oh," I muttered. "Cattleya Santos Madrigal. Sorry, I forgot to mention that."

I noticed the slight widening of his eyes at the same time as his jaws dropped and his mouth rounded.

"I-I'm sorry Mrs. Madrigal.” She said, jittery. "I didn't know it was you. I am- I uh- I am very sorry-”

"It's fine." I cut off his words. I expected this reaction already anyway. And I am assuming that she is acting like this is not because I am pretty popular but it is because of the name I am carrying.

"I will assist you immediately to the room. Follow me, please.” She said it politely as she gestured her hand. I noticed how drastically the tone of her voice just changed compared to how she talked to me just a few minutes ago before she learned that I am a Madrigal.

I just shrugged my shoulders and then followed his footsteps. When we got to the room she was talking about, Daniella's shocked eyes immediately greeted me as she is staring at my entirety, while I was like I already expected to see her here.

"Good morning, Mrs. Cooper.”

I decided to just divert my attention to Mrs. Cooper that is sitting at the center table with her hands clasped together.

"Well, it's a pleasure to have you in here, Mrs. Madrigal. I knew you'd come so we already prepared a contract for you. Come take a look and have a seat.”

“C-Contract?” I uttered, baffled by what she just mentioned. "I thought I came here to audition for the spot?"

"Oh, please." Mrs. Cooper let out a chuckle as she moved her hand as if slapping the air. "You are a Madrigal. You don't audition. Now, have a seat, read the contract, and if it is fair enough for you then sign it.”

My lips twitched, still can't process the situation. "That easily? Am I being pranked or tricked?”

I saw Daniella on the corner of my eye making a face, mocking me.

"How many times do I have to call you to have a seat?"

"Oh," I quickly responded to his order and quickly walked towards the chair in front of Mrs. Cooper. "Sorry, ma'am."

I secretly looked at Daniella who was sitting on the opposite side of my seat because she secretly rolled her eyes at me.

"Here's the contract." It sparingly told me. "And if you are wondering why our top model, Daniella Yves, is inside this room and sitting with us, the first project you will have as a Miranda model will be done with her."

"With her?" I asked again because I seemed deaf to what he said, plus Daniella stared at me with a meaningful grin.

"You heard it right. The first project is for both of you to be on the cover of YoungOne Magazine.”
