Chapter Nineteen

"Listen to me" Eve spat and pointed two fingers at him, shocking his two staff who were still in the room.

In his mind, Henry kept praying that Eve doesn't speak about the one-night stand. He had hoped she wouldn't talk about it and maybe with the way things were going, he might have to swallow his pride and apologise to her to save his face.

"Such audacity." Henry heard one of his staff whisper to the other. He knew they were shocked at Eve's boldness.

"I wanted to be the bigger person. I wanted to shut the fuck up but you decided to act like a piece of shit by ruining my interview." continued Eve. It then dawned on Henry that cancelling Eve's interview was a bad idea. He signalled to the staff in his office to excuse them.

The two men stood up and headed out. Henry knew the news of the drama ongoing in his office will soon spread around the various corners of the building like a wildfire.
