Kidnapping Charlotte

Valerie's POV

My eyes fluttered open,my gaze taking in the beautiful familiarity of my room. Something didn't feel right. My body felt immersed with overwhelming weakness. I sat up,a sharp pain jolted my entire body in response to my action. I looked at my wall clock. 4:09 PM. I palm-faced myself, shoo-in away the desire to sleep.

How did I get here and why do I feel absurd and worn-out? Suddenly, memories of my time with Ron came flooding back like a tsunami: The awkward invitation,the bourbon and Ron's tricky plan.

A displeased frown at my inability to control my intake of alcohol at the bar earlier today etched on my face. My cheeks become red as a tomato as humiliating and embarrassment flickered across my face.

Someone cleared his throat, freaking me out. My eyes darted around until it settled on Ron who was seated at the West extreme of my room. Anger flushed my face

“What in the name of God are you doing in my room?." I asked,my voice laced with fury.
