Sofia’s POV

“I went to her house and confronted her,” he admitted. I would be lying if I said I’m not shocked. I didn’t expect him to go there to ask her. What? Is that the reason why he left angrily?

I still don’t understand it, but he really doesn’t want his mother to see him. Or the other way around. He’s the one who doesn’t want to see her there.

I didn’t talk. I just looked at him, still confused and shocked at the same time. Wait, why is he even mad? Is he angry because his mother insulted me, or is it because of his anger towards his mother?

“I wanted you to know I hate her. She’s the reason why my sister and I can’t have a whole family. She betrayed and abandoned us for that bastard.” I can hear sadness and disappointment in his voice. I understand him, and now everything is clear. He despised his mother for not being responsible.
