My eyes slightly widened. Has he been there all along? Did he wait for me? He stood up from the couch and walked toward my direction.

He's looking at me coldly. I feel like I want to hide in fear. He's usually cold and serious, but there's something different now. I just don't know what exactly it is.

"You came home late. I thought you would be here at six? You didn't even tell me when you'd be home," he said seriously. I swallowed nervously. What if he asks me to leave now? Where would I go? I don't want to end up on the streets again.

"I was planning to come home early, but Maria and I got caught up in conversation." I explained. ' And besides, I thought you'd be home late,' I thought to myself.

"I won't. I came home earlier today. You should have informed me where and what time you'd be coming home," he furrowed his brow. Wait, do I need to tell him where I go and when I come back?
