Nadine walked into the hospital ward where her twin sister was lying unconscious. She had locked the door behind her but she raised her eyes at it to be sure it was locked.
“Madine, all I wanted was your car but you refused to give it to me so I ruined the break. I didn't know you were going to have an accident though, it was not part of the plan and I cried because of what I did. I almost confessed it to Dad and Mom but they were so worried about you, that they ignored me.” Nadine paused and smiled softly before moving Madine’s hair behind her ear.“But I got to understand that Karma was the one that hit you hard. You knew that Trenton and I attended the same private high school and I fell in love with him. It was even because of him I told Mom and Dad to buy a beach house beside theirs so I could see him but you went and seduced him. Now, he came to claim you but you are half dead. Guess who is going to be his bride in the next two weeks? Me. Not you Madine. It is me.” Nadine smiled again and then arranged her curly strands well.“Madine, I pray you never wake up. Life is beginning to look up for me. I didn't pass college exams so I thought I wouldn't be successful but look at me, I am going to marry the youngest billionaire in the world.” Nadine laughed sardonically almost like a psychotic person. She stopped and then stared at her sister who slept like the sleeping beauty. However to her miserable shock, the next second, Madine opened her eyes. Nadine balked, and her eyes went wide in their sockets.“You.... You are awake?” She almost fell off the sofa.“You are my sister, yet you do that to me?” Madine breathed out with despair while trying to sit up.“How can you be so cruel to me, Nadine!” Madine shouted, tears gathering in her eyes.Nadine trembled until she was on the floor. She didn't believe that Madine would wake up this soon.“You... You can't be awake now.” She blurted making Madine raise her eyes toward her.“I can't be awake now? You don't even feel remorseful, do you?” Madine shook her head and then got off the bed. She started to look around making Nadine wonder what she was looking for.And then Madine found the telephone.“I am going to tell Mom and Dad everything you did. You were the one that toyed with the break of my car. And when I get out of here, I will tell Trent Hudson of your evil plans!” Marine threatened, dialing a number on the telephone.Nadine's eyes went wide with anxiety. And then her body trembled terribly. She started to think of what to do. She kept telling herself that she had to stop Madine. Trent shouldn't find out about this, he would hate her. Her parents would hate her as well.“No, I won't let you win. I won't let you defeat me again!” She rushed to her and grabbed the telephone. Then she threw it off the table making Madine glare at her both with shock and anger.“Why are you doing this, Nadine? Why are you being such a witch!” Madine shouted.“Because I cannot let them hate me. You are the problem so you should go back to the coma.” Nadine grabbed the flask on the table gently without Madine’s knowledge. She raised it high in the air and almost jerked Madine with it but she was quick to move away.“Nadine!” Madine shouted as she moved away. She didn't think that her sister would ever try to harm her.“Madine, go back to the coma, please. It is better that way!” Nadine cried, her body shaking.“Nadine, stop. We are sisters and we shouldn't be doing this.” Madine sighed and then rubbed her forehead. She walked closer to Nadine with her hands open.“You are my sister and I love you but don't be like this.” She wrapped her hands around Nadine and then touched her hair softly.“I want Trenton, I can't let him go,” Nadine whispered, her body still trembling.Madine disengaged in anger and looked into her face. “Why do you always want what is mine? Everything I work hard for, you always want it? Why?” Madine bellowed.“Because... Because you don't deserve it.” Nadine grabbed the flask again and this time, she was so fast, Madine wasn't able to move away. The moment Madine fell to the floor, Nadine realized what she had done.“What... What did I just do?! What got into me?” Her lips trembled while her eyes moved around with fear. She gently bent beside Madine, breathing heavily and shaking.“I am sorry, Madine. I am really sorry but Trenton is mine.” She tried to touch her but her hands were too shaky to be balanced. However, she managed to check if she had a pulse but got nothing.“What did I do? What did I just do?! What should I do now?” She breathed out worriedly. In the end, she placed Madine on the bed. The flask didn't cut Madine hence there was no blood.“Madine, maybe you deserve to die so I can enjoy my life. I... I am sorry.” With this, she picked up her bag and walked out.She got in her car and started to breathe in and out repeatedly. Her body was shaking and her system was unstable.“Nadine you didn't do anything wrong. You only secured your future. You deserve to live a good life.” She reminded herself although her entire mind was a mess. Suddenly, her phone rang making her jolt up.“Nadine, have you agreed to my proposal?” His voice sounded in her ear and instantly regret set in. She should have checked the name before picking it up.“Madine is in a coma, how can you marry her? Grey don't ever call me again!” She shouted and then ended the call. Grey was her ex-boyfriend who had been disturbing her about Madine saying he loved her now.Such a ridiculous man she had dated. She dropped her phone and resumed her thoughts.Had Madine truly died? She checked for pulse but got nothing. Had she truly killed her twin sister? The thought of it made her tremble once more. Her phone rang at the same time making her jolt again, she picked it up and brought it to her ear.“I said don't ever call me again!” She yelled.“Who is bothering you, princess?” His thick voice sounded on the other end making her eyes widen surprisingly, it calmed Nadine. It temeinded her that she did it for this reason. To keep Trenton. Trenton was still hers and that, that was enough for her.“My ex-boyfriend.” She sighed.“Send his details to me, you will never hear of him again,” Trenton replied seriously making Nadine chuckle.“Don’t worry, he isn't worth the hassle. He is just a ridiculous man I had once loved.”“And now you have me. You love me now right?” Trenton smiled on the other end and Nadine nodded.“You wouldn't believe what I did because of you,” she said referring to the earlier scene.“Tell me. I want to know.”“Well, I used to tell everyone in my house that you are going to come and claim me. I told them about our magic moment and how I saved you. Don't worry I didn't tell them you don't know how to swim.” She chuckled. Nadine knew everything that happened that night because Madine wouldn't stop talking about it.“Really?” Trenton chuckled.“Yes, I even stayed away from all men for you. I kept myself for you, Trenton.” She added. There was a long silence because Trenton didn't say anything.“You just said something about an ex-boyfriend, are you saying you didn't have sex with him?” Trenton asked.Instantly, Nadine realized that she was telling Madine’s story and not hers. Madine was the one who kept herself.“Uhm, yes. This is why he can't get over me.” She laughed nervously, scratching her head. Why did she have to talk so much without thinking?“If this is true Nadine, I will love you forever. Not because I am going to be the first but because you never forgot about me and kept this incredible gift for me. I will love you forever, Nadine.” Trenton uttered seriously. There was no iota of joke in his voice, he was one hundred percent serious, and Nadine felt it as well.“When are you coming home, I have a surprise for you.” He added.“Surprise? What surprise?”Trenton proposed to Nadine grandly. The proposal was so huge, it went viral on the internet. Everyone was shocked that Trenton Hudson had a woman. They thought that he was gay. Trenton had also proposed with ten prom dresses. “Remember the first day we met? You asked me if I had money to buy you ten prom dresses and I said yes. Here they are, ten prom dresses for you to be my wife, and of course, I can't forget the ring.” He went on his knees and stretched the ring to her. Nadine was so happy, she jumped up with swollen eyes. Her parents were present and they rejoiced with her. The reporters were also there making it grand. This way it spread all over the internet. After the engagement party, everyone left leaving Nadine and Trenton in the big house. And then she thought he would sleep with her because every man did this with her. On the first meeting, they had already had sex. Contrary to her belief, Trenton took her to the guest room and left after saying.“I know you have been
Nadine’s eyes widened when Trenton walked into the room. Her heart pounded in fear, almost jumping out of her chest. “Trenton...” She ran to him with her arms spread widely. Trenton was surprised, he looked at the secretary who raised her hands in the air innocently. “What happened?” He patted her hair gently, returning his gaze to her. “She came here, my twin sister came here asking about you. I think she wants to take you away from me. She wants to take everything away from me.” She sobbed, pressing her head into his chest. Trenton smiled, still patting her hair. “Madine took the love of our parents because she is outstanding and me I got sick every time. Please, don't let her take you away from me. You are all that I have.” Nadine cried loudly. Gently, Trenton pulled her back. “No one can take me away from you. No one. Not even your sister. When I said I love you, Nadine. I meant every word. I waited for you. I held onto that childhood promise because you are the only one for
“Trenton will understand us, he will forgive us. You don't have to be shy Nadine. Let's give Madine her life back,” Hannah told her daughter while igniting the car. Nadine's entire body vibrated with fear. She begged her mom over and over again but she didn't listen to her. “I have to do something. I have to do something.” Nadine chewed her lips. “Mom, I would rather than Trenton hating me.” She grabbed the stirring wheel and Hannah fought for it but Nadine held it tightly and drove her off the road. “Nadine, stop. Stop!” Hannah shouted but Nadine didn't listen. The car headed into the bush and led down the road. “Trenton is mine. Mine alone!” Nadine shouted still struggling with her mom. The car headed for a large tree in front of them. Instantly, Hannah grabbed Nadine and wrapped her hands around her, protecting her from collision. However, Hannah took the whole crash. In the hospital, Madine felt a strange feeling in her heart as if something bad had happened. She rubbed her
Madine had several days to think about it. She remembered Nadine telling her it was a privilege to sleep with her husband and she believed this. She was still crushing on Trenton. What was better than giving her virginity to him? But Madine was surprised that she had kept her virginity despite her past clubbing life. That night, she went to Nadine’s home. It was her first time and she was awed. The house was big and beautiful. Madine envied Nadine once again, wishing she was that lucky. “After the sex, you will use this drug. You can't ever be pregnant with my husband’s children, I will kill you!” Nadine growled seriously. She wasn't joking. With this, Madine went into the room. Her heart thumped wildly in her chest. She stepped into a dark and cold room. Trenton was on the bed, the moon casting a stunning glow on him. When he felt the door open, he turned to the direction. “Why did you give me so much to drink, Nadine? My head is heavy and I don't want to take advantage of you.”
Madine got into an accident and was instantly taken to the hospital. The doctors and nurses moved around in order to save the baby in her belly. And then they tried to contact her family but no one would come and claim her. Her phone was damaged to the point where they couldn't get any phone number. However, when her pictures were posted on the internet, Nadine saw them. Instantly, she used her influence to make sure it didn't reach anywhere. It was stated that Madine’s health was critical and she would die without proper care. Nadine had hoped that Madine would die. “Madine, I am sorry but Trenton is mine. I can't take any chances.” Nadine sipped her wine while looking out into space. However, there was a well-known doctor named Liam Nell who took an interest in Madine. He found out she was pregnant with three babies. He took it upon himself to take care of her. Five Years Later. Three kids ran around the hospital, and the nurses shook their heads because these kids were well-
“Mommy!” Josett called and turned her head. Madine could sense her surprise state when Josett didn't see her behind her anymore. “Mommy,” Josett called loudly and the next second, she heard Josett's footsteps heading in her direction. Madine couldn't run, if she did it would cause more commotion. Her legs wouldn't even permit her. Josett appeared in front of her and then pointed. “Here... Here is our mommy!” She pointed at Madine. Madine’s eyes went wide. And then the next second, Trenton's big legs began to hit the floor, heading closer to Madine.Madine’s body froze to the core. She glared at Josett as if it were her fault that she wasn't confident enough to face Trenton. Trenton stopped in front of Madine and recognition hit his face. Madine wondered if he knew her personally. She stared into his green eyes. His cute eyes could make any woman squirm. They glowed under the bulb in the room. “Your kids are not in school?” He asked, holding Jackson and Jason. Instantly, Madine lo
Madine was speaking with one of the nurses when some policemen walked in. Madine didn't mind them, she had no business with the police. This was until they headed to her and, “Are you Madine Oreo?” “Yes.” She turned to them, surprised by the question. “We are here to arrest you for stealing.” The young officer brought out a handcuff making Madine's eyes go wide. She had never stolen in her life. “What do you mean, Madine here is very loyal and she has never stolen in her life.” Nurse Nora rushed out from behind the counter. She stood in front of Madine but she was pushed aside and Madine was taken. Madine looked around for her children but she didn't find them. She was grateful for that because she didn't want her kids to watch her being taken away like this. “Must you use the handcuff on her?” Nurse Nora asked. “Yes.” The young officer glared at her and with this, they pushed Madine out of the hospital. Nurse Nora ran after them.“Why can't you be careful with her?!” She shout
Three days went by but Madine was still in the police custody. No one came to see or address her which made it worse. Madine wanted to see Nadine and ask her why she chose to treat her this way. Nadine must know that wasn't her drawing, yet she accused her wrongly. But Madine was more worried about her kids. She had not been able to reach them. Nurse Nora never came to visit her which was weird. She had promised to come later. Why didn't she come? Madine was worried. Just then, a young man walked in and then opened the cell. Madine was surprised. “You are free to go,” he said. “Why?” She asked but he said nothing. Ignoring him as well, Madine took her things from the tray and ran out. She was going to get a cab back to the hospital when a black Jeep stopped in front of her. In it was Tristan Hudson. Her heart thundered in my chest when his face was revealed. She froze on the spot, just staring into his green eyes. However, he had a dark expression, his eyes were cold. The next m
“Mom” Madine called, placing her hand over her mother’s. Her mother’s body was cold as if she was dead. Madine had to put two fingers beneath her nostrils to be sure she was still breathing. She looked around the room for the air conditioner switch, she switched it off before returning to her mom. “Look at your face.” She sniffled while caressing her mom’s face, swiping her thumb over her pale lips. “Nadine really hurt you. What did you ever do to her? Did she have to treat you like this? You are not mad yet she locked you up in here.” Madine cracked, her voice shaking as tears ran down both sides of her cheeks. “Mom, I will be better, I swear to you. I will come back and take you away from here. I will expose Nadine and make sure she pays for all that she did to you.” Madine wiped her eyes, brushing the tears off. She laid her head next to her mom and then placed her hand on herself. “I missed your touch so much, Mom. It has been seven years since you touched me.” Just then, Mad
Madine returned home. Liam and Clara were already distressed at this time. She stepped into the house, limping. Her legs were still aching her. When Liam saw her, he marched to her with worry etched on his face. “Where did you go?” He asked, snaking his hand around her waist and pulling her to the couch. “I saw them.” Madine sobbed. “Who did you see?” Clara sat by her side, caressing her hands. “I saw my children. I saw them with Tristan, he likes them, Clara, he loves them.” She smiled, tears rolling down her cheeks. Clara beamed and caressed her hair. “Nadine didn't see you right?” Liam asked. Madine shook her head. “She didn't.” “Good.” Liam sighed and sat next to Madine. “How do we intend to make Nadine give consent to you using Madine’s face on your sister?” Clara asked, looking at Liam who ran his palm down his face. Madine raised her brows, confused by what she said. “Your sister?” Madine asked. “Liam’s sister is Alana Stitches, the famous fashion designer who won va
Madine gently flung her eyes open, and her orbs scanned around the room until she found Liam on the other side, opening a new syringe. She touched her forehead feeling light-headed. “Liam.” She called, her voice was barely above a whisper. Liam turned in her direction quickly. He walked over to her and sat on the bed, next to her. “How are you feeling.” He placed her head on his lap, running his fingers through her hair. “Where are they?” She looked at him. “The kids?” Liam asked and she nodded gently. “Nadine can't take care of them. I want my kids back, that's all I want.” Liam nodded. “I know but you have to be saved first. Nadine is a bitch, she wants you dead. I can’t have you going back to her like this, you are weak.” Madine gently sat up, Liam holding her up. She rested her back against the headboard before holding his hands. “Liam, help me get my kids back, I beg you. I don't care if I die and I would rather die than watch Nadine take care of my children.” Liam fro
“Why are you hiding it? What are you doing Tristan? I heard all that you said in that room. You said you would have loved Madine if you met her first. How dare you!” She yelled, her body trembling. When Nadine eavesdropped on his words, she got to know that Tristan was secretly getting to know Madine. She was scared he would know everything about her and Madine. “Nadine, are you jealous of the dead now?” Tristan's voice was soft and gentle. He stared at her calmly too. Nadine chuckled. “Is that how you want to defend yourself? By calling me a jealous woman?” “Nadine, I have many questions for you but I ignored them because I didn't want to create problems. Madine wrote about the deal you two made in her diary. You asked Madine to sleep with me, yet you lied that she had pretended to be you and slept with me. This little scene, do you think that I can still believe all the things you said against Madine?” He asked, his voice still calm. One couldn't decipher if he was angry.
“Dad, are you going to get us another drink?” Josette asked, her voice tiny. He swept her hair back while adjusting the duvet on her body. “Yes, I am going to get you another one. Okay?” He kissed her forehead, and she closed her eyes. It was already late and they already had dinner from the mall. Tristan was trying his best for the kids. He didn't want them to feel depressed over the death of their mother. He needed them to be sure that he was going to be there for them, although he could never match up to Madine. She sacrificed a lot for them. Jackson was the only one who didn't like him. Jackson hadn't said a word to him since he got in the house. Even now, he went to his bed, his face to the wall. They all slept in one room until they got used to the house. “Jason, are you good?” Tristan walked over to Jason’s bed - he had three small beds in the room. “Yes, Daddy,” Jason said. Jackson huffed. He did this to whenever they called Tristan ‘dad’. Tristan knew this. He p
Instantly, Nadine's brows raised with anger. Liam was a little shocked to see that she was annoyed. Her fist clenched on the table and she glared at Liam. “Why would you want your sister to take the face of my horrible sister?” Liam was shocked to hear the words that fell off her mouth. He thought that she was annoyed with his request out of respect for Madine. It turned out she was just being manipulative again. “Because she is dead. The dead cannot sue my sister for using her face as an illustration. You are the only family she has left hence we can only ask you. We found out your father had traveled to Mexico with a new woman.” Liam added and Nadine nodded. “Dad was tired of being around Madine and Mom. My mom had a terrible accident which put her in a coma, he couldn't stay with her anymore.” Liam nodded. He didn't care about Nadine’s dad. Madine had never mentioned him probably because he didn't care about her as well. Nadine gave him a huge amount and he fled af
“She is going to kill my babies!” Madine shouted before suddenly opening her eyes with her chest rising and falling rapidly. Liam and Clara went to her side very quickly. The duo were scared when they heard her voice. It sounded like she was scared and alone. “Madine, are you okay?” Clara asked, taking her hands. “No, she is going to kill my babies. Please stop her. She is going to kill my children. I saw her. I saw her injecting their favorite drinks. Stop her. You have to stop her.” Madine cried, tears streaming down both sides of her drinks. Liam looked at Clara who said nothing but looked back at Madine. “Who did you see?” Clara asked. “I saw Nadine. She was injecting their little boxes of juice. It is their favorite one. She wants to kill them. That witch wants to kill my babies.” Her hands trembled and she took them to her hair. Madine started to use her fingers to twist her hair.“Is it a reaction?” Clara whispered to Liam who shook his head dismissing her. He noticed that
Tristan held the children's arms as they walked to the grave of their mother. He had to tell them since they wouldn't stop asking about her. Tristan was mostly scared of Jackson and how he was going to react, ironically, he didn't. Josette was the one who cried badly. “Your mommy is gone, you won't be seeing her again,” Nadine had said to them when they did not react at first. Tristan glared at her but he was forced to break out of that when Josette fell to the floor and cried hysterically. She screamed and thrashed on the floor. Her voice was so loud. “Bring mommy back. Bring mommy back!” She shouted. Tristan tried to hold her. He tried hugging her but she wouldn't let him. “Bring my mommy back to me!” She cried out. Josett cried all through the afternoon and only kept quiet when she slept off. Jason cried softly. He wasn't loud but he grieved and trembled. Jackson was the strange son who had no reaction. Even now as they headed to he grave, Jackson said nothing. He didn't cry
Suddenly, Madine grew consciousness. She took her surroundings in while trying to sit up but it was hard for her to even move her body. Liam who was wiping her burns quickly came to her aid and helped her to sit up. “Don’t move too fast,” he said. Madine held her head, the memories returning to her head. She had an altercation with her twin sister, and she remembered. It stung her heart like scorpions venom. She remembered every word that Nadine had said to her. How she had suffered in her hand for years. Tears grew in her eyes as she looked at Liam who nodded his head because he understood her without her having to say anything. “I know, you don't have to speak. I know all that she did to you,” he said. “How… how am I here?” She asked, looking around. She noticed that she was in a bedroom but it had the setting of a hospital. The smell was what made it different from the hospital and there was not as much noise. “The nurse I hired you isn't just there to take care of you and yo
