When Madine saw Tristan, she ran to the gate and begged for help. She wanted to be free. Her cellmate was making life difficult for her. She had lost a lot of blood because of them. Madine thought that she might die if she lasted any more days with them. “I am here to set you free,” he said. Suddenly, he became her hero in shining armor.Madine smiled. He had come to save her from the hands of the thugs in the cell. “We too, boss!” The women shouted, and Moab and her other friends walked closer. Alana held her breath, fear running up her spine. Tristan got closer and noticed the dried blood on Alana’s face. “What happened to her?” He looked at Moab and her gang. They looked like thugs and terrorists. “Did you do this to her?” Tristan took a step forward, and a harsh breath came out of him. Even the policemen wondered if Madine was his wife but they knew his wife. “No…” They denied. “She is the one that's crazy, she keeps hitting her head against the wall.” They lied. “Right?”
The doctor walked into Madine’s ward, he admired her from the moment she stepped into the hospital. Nadine had paid him a huge amount to drain her blood and this would kill her. Nadine wanted to get rid of Madine without being blamed for it. Doctor Gerald liked her and thought that he’d set her free since Nadine didn't need her blood anyway. Also, he wondered how anyone would be so wicked to their twin sister. When Madine saw him, she smiled and he thought in his heart how she could smile despite all that was happening to her. “Miss Madine, do you have anywhere you could run to?” He asked. Madine was puzzled, wondering what he was talking about. “We don't need your blood, your sister is fine but she wants you dead and this is why she asked us to lie.” Madine body trembled, she wasn't able to form any words so she just stared at him. She sighed and sat back while tears grew in her eyes. She wondered why her sister hated her so much. Then she looked at the doctor. “Why? Why does s
“Daddy!” Josett shouted, running toward Tristan who leaned at the door frame watching his kids read from the board. He waited there, watching them proudly. When Josett turned around, she saw her father behind them and a smile crossed her cute and small face before she ran to him. Tristan squatted to her level as she ran across the room to him. Jason and Jackson turned their heads at the same time. They smiled and walked to Tristan who chuckled at the pride that seeped out of them. They were more composed compared to their sister, walking over gently to their father. “How’s today, cupcake?” Tristan asked, cupping Josett's cheeks. She looked very much like Madine. She only had Tristan’s green eyes, the rest of her body features, she got it from her mother. Every time Tristan looked at Josett, she reminded him of Madine and this made him feel bad. Maybe he should not have allowed her to donate blood to Nadine. The doctor told him it was successful and Madine had been discharged. “Whe
The news quickly spread to Tristan. Madine's house had caught fire and she burnt to death in her house. He watched the police as they dropped the bad news to Nadine who quickly fell to the floor, clutching her gown. Tears rolled down her cheeks and she stared into nothingness, a scene she had seen an actress do in a movie. She practiced it very well in her room before they came to drop the news. She was going to make Tritan believe it. However, she noticed Tristan didn't hold her. He didn't bend before her and make her feel better. No. He stared at the police man with disbelief and shock. “Where is she?” He asked. “At the mortuary. She is burnt beyond recognition and we had to do a DNA to identify her,” he explained. Tristan said nothing. “Leave,” he said. The policeman dropped the file on the center table and walked out as instructed by Tristan. Nadine shook her head, her body trembling as she stretched her hand and picked up the files. Tristan watched her. Tha
Suddenly, Madine grew consciousness. She took her surroundings in while trying to sit up but it was hard for her to even move her body. Liam who was wiping her burns quickly came to her aid and helped her to sit up. “Don’t move too fast,” he said. Madine held her head, the memories returning to her head. She had an altercation with her twin sister, and she remembered. It stung her heart like scorpions venom. She remembered every word that Nadine had said to her. How she had suffered in her hand for years. Tears grew in her eyes as she looked at Liam who nodded his head because he understood her without her having to say anything. “I know, you don't have to speak. I know all that she did to you,” he said. “How… how am I here?” She asked, looking around. She noticed that she was in a bedroom but it had the setting of a hospital. The smell was what made it different from the hospital and there was not as much noise. “The nurse I hired you isn't just there to take care of you and yo
Tristan held the children's arms as they walked to the grave of their mother. He had to tell them since they wouldn't stop asking about her. Tristan was mostly scared of Jackson and how he was going to react, ironically, he didn't. Josette was the one who cried badly. “Your mommy is gone, you won't be seeing her again,” Nadine had said to them when they did not react at first. Tristan glared at her but he was forced to break out of that when Josette fell to the floor and cried hysterically. She screamed and thrashed on the floor. Her voice was so loud. “Bring mommy back. Bring mommy back!” She shouted. Tristan tried to hold her. He tried hugging her but she wouldn't let him. “Bring my mommy back to me!” She cried out. Josett cried all through the afternoon and only kept quiet when she slept off. Jason cried softly. He wasn't loud but he grieved and trembled. Jackson was the strange son who had no reaction. Even now as they headed to he grave, Jackson said nothing. He didn't cry
“She is going to kill my babies!” Madine shouted before suddenly opening her eyes with her chest rising and falling rapidly. Liam and Clara went to her side very quickly. The duo were scared when they heard her voice. It sounded like she was scared and alone. “Madine, are you okay?” Clara asked, taking her hands. “No, she is going to kill my babies. Please stop her. She is going to kill my children. I saw her. I saw her injecting their favorite drinks. Stop her. You have to stop her.” Madine cried, tears streaming down both sides of her drinks. Liam looked at Clara who said nothing but looked back at Madine. “Who did you see?” Clara asked. “I saw Nadine. She was injecting their little boxes of juice. It is their favorite one. She wants to kill them. That witch wants to kill my babies.” Her hands trembled and she took them to her hair. Madine started to use her fingers to twist her hair.“Is it a reaction?” Clara whispered to Liam who shook his head dismissing her. He noticed that
Instantly, Nadine's brows raised with anger. Liam was a little shocked to see that she was annoyed. Her fist clenched on the table and she glared at Liam. “Why would you want your sister to take the face of my horrible sister?” Liam was shocked to hear the words that fell off her mouth. He thought that she was annoyed with his request out of respect for Madine. It turned out she was just being manipulative again. “Because she is dead. The dead cannot sue my sister for using her face as an illustration. You are the only family she has left hence we can only ask you. We found out your father had traveled to Mexico with a new woman.” Liam added and Nadine nodded. “Dad was tired of being around Madine and Mom. My mom had a terrible accident which put her in a coma, he couldn't stay with her anymore.” Liam nodded. He didn't care about Nadine’s dad. Madine had never mentioned him probably because he didn't care about her as well. Nadine gave him a huge amount and he fled af
