Chapter 70: A successful operation

Kiandra waited for some time as she wanted to make sure Lucas had fallen asleep before leaving the room.

After making sure he was indeed asleep, she pulled the sheets over him and left the room to go see her daughter who was also asleep.

"Finally you're back, I thought you had forgotten about me," Samantha exhaled as she shifted so Kiandra could see on the couch.

"You don't have work tomorrow?" Kiandra asked as she took her seat next to her friend.

"I took two days off," Samantha answered. "Now tell me what's going on. I feel so left out," she said to Kiandra.

"All these years I spent hating and thinking Lucas was the one responsible for what happened to Zendaya and that had been a lie. It was actually Daira who responded," Kiandra told Samantha.

"That day when I texted him, he was in his office and Daira came to visit him. He got a call for something important and left the office with Daira in it. However, he left his phone and that was when my message entered."
