Chapter 73: First time in jail

“Put your hands where I can see them,” one of the police officers said to her, his and his partner's gun still pointed at her.

Kiandra panicked when she realized what was going on in their minds. “I swear I didn’t kill him. He was dead when I woke up,” she cried out.

“You’ll explain at the station,” the same officer retorted. “Ma’am don’t make this difficult for us, put your hands where I can see them,” he asked her again and Kiandra did as he told her to do.

The second officer walked up to Kiandra and handcuffed her. “You have the right to remain silent, anything and everything you say, can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney. If you cannot afford one, one will be provided by the state,” the officer read her rights to her and they led her out of the house.

When they got out of the house, she saw that a crowd had gathered around the house and they were all staring at her judgmentally.
