Chapter 72: She killed him

When Lucas reappeared he was dressed. His eyes fell on Zendaya and he made his way over to where Liam was standing.

"What did the doctors say about the operation?" He asked Liam.

"That it was a success and that she will be observed for the next few weeks," Liam answered.

"Hmm," Lucas mumbled and he cast one last look at Zendaya. He then turned his attention to his sister. "Cancel whatever plan you have for today and stay with the little girl. A woman named Samantha may come to see her, if she does, let her in. Apart from her and the doctors, no one else should get close to the girl," he instructed and Belle nodded.

"New guards will soon arrive. Till then, hold down the fort." And with that, Lucas turned and left the room.
