Chapter 004 The Viral Vedio

R|18

Eumerriah’s Point of View

"Where are you right now?"

"I'm at the condo. I'm about to get married, so please don't give me any work for now. This is my last chance with Jerome. For now, I'll follow what Mommy says," I replied to Manager Kim when he called.

"You really love that guy, huh? Alright, just know that my agency is always open for you if you want to come back." I nodded, even though he couldn’t see me.

He ended the call. "H-how much is this?" I stuttered as I asked the cashier. She wouldn't recognize me because I was disguised. I wore a cap, a face mask, and a leather jacket to hide what I was buying.

"135 pesos, ma’am."

"Which one here is the most accurate?" I asked the pharmacist who had just arrived. "How many weeks are you?"

I sighed. "I think it's been 5 weeks already, but I've only been delayed for 2 weeks. Is it possible for an accurate result to show?"

"Try taking the test two or three times every morning. Don’t eat or drink anything before you use it. If you’re still not satisfied, it’s better to visit an OBGYN," she answered with a smile. "Give me three of each brand. How much?"

"1135 pesos in total, ma’am."

"Okay." I took two thousand pesos from my wallet, grabbed my purchases, and put them in my jacket pocket. "Miss, do you have anything for a hangover—oh, sorry. Excuse me, I’m still a bit drunk." A man who bumped into me helped me pick up my things. My cap fell off when I bent down.

"Wow, that’s a lot, Miss. Are you going to use all of these?" He looked up at me. "I-it’s you?" He glanced around and then leaned in to whisper. "What are you going to do with a pregnancy test?"

I quickly gathered my things and stood up. I didn't bother to check if I left anything behind and rushed out of the pharmacy. I ignored him and went straight to my car, taking a deep breath.

"Are you pregnant?" I was startled when someone suddenly entered the backseat of my car. "What are you doing here?"

"I’m asking you! Are you pregnant? Am I the father?"

"Get out! We have nothing to discuss!" I pushed him out of the car. "I won’t leave until you answer me."

I held back a scream. I was so angry at him; he was the reason for all the problems between Jerome and me. This time, I won’t let him do anything to ruin our wedding.

"I’m not pregnant. My friend just asked me to buy these. Please, I’m begging you! Don’t do anything that will ruin Jerome and me. We love each other and are destined to be together." I even made a gesture to emphasize my plea.

"You really love him that much? Don’t you see that he doesn’t love you? He just needs you. If you don’t believe me, it’s your decision, but I warned you! He doesn’t love you!" He slammed my car door and stormed off. I took a deep breath and drove back to the condo.

Our engagement party is tonight, but I’ve been feeling unwell for days. Sometimes I faint and wake up with no one around. I’m worried, but I’m not stupid; I know I might be pregnant, which is why I haven’t seen a doctor yet. I have no one to talk to about this.

"Where are you?" I answered Dad’s call while driving. "I’m on my way home," I replied. He hung up, so I made a U-turn and headed home instead of going to the condo.

I arrived at a hotel owned by our family. Mom’s staff escorted me to a room. "Sir Jerome is already here. Your mom is calling for you."

"Leave me alone for now," I told them, and they left. I checked myself in the mirror.

"I told you to—who are you? Put me down!" I commanded the person carrying me before he covered my mouth with a cloth.

I felt dizzy and struggled. "Ouch! That hurts! What’s your problem?" I yelled at the man driving after he threw me into the backseat of his car.

"Hey! Stop this! Who are you to do this to me?" I kept hitting the back of his seat, hoping to see someone I recognized as we drove.

"Gabrielle? You again? Stop the car! I said stop the car—ow! Shit! Why did you brake so suddenly?" My face hit the seat in front of me.

"You said stop the car!" He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Take me back there, or I’ll keep screaming!"

"Scream all you want. No one will hear you! If you keep causing trouble while I’m driving, we’ll end up in hell!" he threatened.

"Only you! I’m going to heaven," I retorted.

"If you want to go to heaven, then be quiet. We’ll go there together!" My face turned beet red, embarrassed by his audacity to remind me of that.

"Whatever! I’ll call Manager Kim. I’ll have you arrested for kidnapping me!" I threatened.

I took my phone from the secret pocket of my gown. I received multiple notifications and calls from various people, especially executives. My brows furrowed when I saw a video. My hands trembled, but I didn’t hesitate to watch it.

"Aaaaaaa. W-why is there something like that? W-where did that come from?" I dropped my phone in shock.

"Oh shit! They really did it!" he commented when he saw the video playing on my phone.

I hadn’t recovered when I saw Dad calling. I was shaking and crying, but I had to answer.

"D-dad l-let me exp-plain. I—"

"Is this why you didn’t show up here? Because you eloped with your man? You are so ungrateful! Now, what will you do? You’re a disgrace! If Jerome doesn’t marry you, I’ll make sure you get nothing from me or your mom. You’re no longer our daughter! I regret raising you!"
