AVERY

"You called for me?" I said as soon as I stepped into the room.

"Go and have a shower. We need to talk afterwards." He commanded and I nodded walking to the bathroom. While in the tub, I wondered why he seemed so serious. I got out the shower quicker than I normally did due to my curiosity. I brushed in a hurry and draped myself in a towel and then a bathrobe. It was now a part of me to use both.

Opening the door, I noticed Maverick was now on the bed just sitting at the edge of the bed with his head hung and his finger tightly holding unto each other.

I ran to the walk-in Closet and got dressed in my pajamas. On my way out, my eyes caught the tie that has always been in here ever since the day I got to the house.

It just sat there, locked and unused. I debated whether to ask him about this tie or I should shut up and listen to what he wants to say and let my question extend for another night.

I walked out of the closet in slow steady steps and finally made it to Maverick. My e
