Aurora got Injured

In the afternoon, Mr. Whitmore and Thursto were both out. The recent construction site incident had everyone on edge. Even though the truth was out now, they still needed to make frequent appearances as the pillars of the company.

Aurora took advantage of their absence to visit Isabella's room. Isabella had been moved to the bed, but she was still sitting there hugging her knees. Apparently, just getting her onto the bed had been quite an ordeal.

There weren't any servants watching inside or outside the room. Isabella's mood was unstable, and she'd occasionally throw a fit, not letting anyone near her. So Mr. Whitmore had told the servants to leave her be.

Aurora easily pushed open the door and went in. Isabella kept her head down, not even glancing at her, as if she hadn't heard anyone come in.

Aurora called out softly, "Cousin?"
