Chapter one

Sapphire sky has been indoors after the death of her parents who were killed by unknown men. She had been indoors since then for her safety order by her aunty who took her in after the death of her parents. 

"Oh, my God! I had made it" she screamed while running down the staircase. 

"What is that my angel," her aunty asked her. 

"I got an email from Henry M Guru high school" she crinkle her eyes and nose. 

"What did they talk about? " her aunt asked facing her. 

"Aunt, I got the scholarship " she screamed and hugged her aunt. 

"Wow! Finally, I can have some breathing space in my house" her aunt smiled. 

"But I had never bothered you before" she wiggle her eyebrows and wrapped her hand around her aunt's neck. 

"Sapphire, I am not too happy over this scholarship " she curls into a fetal position. 

"Why, aunt? You shouldn't be saying this to me. I thought you said you want me to be happy so why all this" sapphire sky bows her head. 

"Sapphire, I want the best for you but it's just that I don't want you to get close to your father's enemy and I can't afford to lose you as well" sapphire sky's aunt responded in a cold tone. 

"Aunt, I can't be indoors forever simply because of my father's enemy. I need to be free because I have a brighter future ahead of me which I don't want to lose. I can't decline this scholarship for any reason. This is not the time to hide from my fears but faces them no matter what. I am human not an animal " sapphire sky wrapped her arms around herself angrily. 

"I didn't say you should do that. I support you but made a promise to me that you will for no reason disclose your true identity to anyone. please don't! "Her aunty pleaded. 

"I promise I won't by any chance disclose it to anyone," sapphire sky said and hugged her aunt warmly.

Servants were running around making sure that the table is set for lunch before their boss and his daughter walked to the dining table to avoid a quarrel, most especially his daughter, Henrietta who is very rude and wicked. She doesn't care about how others feel except her herself. If she is happy and others aren't, she is cool with it. Eddie Wayne is a wealthy businessman who is very greedy as well. He is among the richest man in the united states. His wife is late but he has a mistress who also works for him. Not quite long, the servants were done with what they were doing. Eddie Wayne and his daughter walked in including his mistress. They sat down on their various chairs. They took their cutleries while the servants were dishing their food on their separate plates. 

"I thought this dining table is strictly for family members alone. Why am I seeing a non-member here?" Henrietta said while using a white tissue to clean up her cutleries before using them. 

"Henrietta, where are you driving at? Miss Gaynell is family so who are you referring to" he rests his hands on the table. 

"Dad, she is not and besides she is only your mistress, not your wife and that makes her a non-member of this family" Henrietta take a bit of her piece of bread. 

"She works for me and I love her as well so you have to accord her some respect besides she is not your mate" Eddie Wayne squirted his eyes. 

"Does that mean you never loved my mom? Mom has been the best woman every man will ever wish for. She helped you build your empire and you want to pay her with this by confessing your love for this whore! "Henrietta rolled her eyes. 

"Henrietta, that's enough. You are too young to know what love means. I had always loved your mom till her death. I wouldn't take this from you and when next this happens again, I will be dealt with you" he slammed his fist on the table. 

"But, dad........... "Eddie Wayne cut in. 

"keep it to yourself. Eat up because you are getting late. Miss Gaynell will take you to school" Eddie Wayne added. 

"Why can't the driver take me to school? I don't want her to take me to school" she tends to mumble. 

"You don't have a choice. I don't want you to go with the driver because of some reason. Miss Gaynell, take her to school and get back to the office as soon as you are done" Eddie Wayne stood up and left. 

"Stay away from me. I don't want you to take me to school. I rather use a cab" Henrietta pressed her lips with a slight frown. 

"You should have said that some couple of minutes ago, spoilt brat! I just wished to get rid of you this minute because you are of no use to me, fool! "Miss Gaynell dragged Henrietta's hair a little bit. 

"Ouch! "Henrietta winched in pain. 

"I'm going to tell dad when he comes back. You are a witch! "Henrietta started eating up her meal. 

"Be fast with that because I don't have time for this childish play you are acting up"Miss Gaynell gesticulated. Not up to thirty minutes, Henrietta was done with her meal. She took her bag and walked behind miss Gaynell with so much anger in her.

A cab stopped at the front of the huge school and sapphire sky stepped out of it but not after paying the cab man. Sapphire sky stared at the magnificent building with a wide smile on her face. It's still disbelief to her that she is finally able to attend her dream school and one thing that made her more relieved is that she had finally been free to go to school after a long while. Breathing out one more time before starting to walk. She stopped when she didn't know the direction to the principal's office. 

"How will I get to know the principal's office," she thought to herself. Luckily for her, a young handsome guy walked passed her. His name is Quincey Lee. 

Quincey Lee is a young, sexy, and handsome guy in the school and every woman's dream. He is the only son of a rich militant in California. He is a playboy and also proud too. She stops him. 

"Hi! "She waved her hand towards him. He stopped and turned to face her without saying a word. 

"Wow! He is so cute" she bite his lips and lost in thought with his looks. 

"Hello, why did you draw my attention? "He touched her. 

"Oh! Am so sorry. I wanted to ask where the principal office is located in this school because I am new here and I don't know my way around here" she blink her eyes with a cute smile. 

"Scholarship student I guess! " he said with a serious face. "Even with his frown face, he is still cute. I think I am falling for him" those words keep ringing in her head. 

"Yes l am "she answered at once. 

"Well, next time try looking up because it is well written boldly on the wall. The principal's office is the first door by your left" he finally said. 

"Oh, thanks a lot. I am Jeanne Marie by name and you" she lied and she stretched her hand for a handshake but he declined it without saying a word and left. 

"What thy heck just happened? I thought he won't be rude with the way he looks" she muttered to herself. She walked to the place as she was instructed. She takes in a deep breath before knocking at the door twice. She was asked to come in. 

"Good morning, sire," she said immediately as she walked in. 

"Morning, how may I help you? "Mr. Walton asked without raising his head to see who the person was. 

"Well, I am Jeanne Marie. I am a newly admitted student" she replied. 

"Oh! you are one of the scholarship students" he said and raised his head to look at her. 

"Yes, sire," she said with a bow. 

"Welcome to Henry M guru high school. Here are the rules and regulations of the school" he said stretching his hands towards her with a paper in his hand and she collected it at once. 

"You can ask one of the students around to show you your class and other necessary things you need to know" he added. 

"Thank you, sir," she said with a bow before leaving. 

Sapphire sky stared at the guidelines given to her. Her eyes were fixed on the papers that she didn't know when she bumped into someone. Oops! Who did she bump into
