After microwaving the whole meal, I began to carry them in a large tray to the dining room, which was on the right side of the living room. As I walked out of the kitchen, my gaze fell on Mr Cross and his girlfriend on the couch, and what I saw shocked me. Sienna was seated on top of his thighs, facing him, and her mouth, I mean, the whole of her mouth was in his. Her eyes were opened and she stared at me keenly from above the couch. I gulped hard and hastily looked away. It seemed like she wanted me to see her doing whatever she was doing to him. It wasn’t my first time seeing people make out, it was a pretty common thing in my Aunt’s clubhouse, but seeing Mr. Ethan, whom I hold in high esteem doing this… It just felt weird. Especially… with her. I took hasty steps out of the dining room and into the kitchen again to bring out the remaining dishes. Every time I entered the dining room, I saw her always looking at me. ‘I wonder what is going on in her mind.’ “Mr Cross, dinner is served,” I uttered, and he hastily moved Sienna aside and raised his head above the couch’s backrest to look at me. “Oh! You’re there.” He muttered, standing up. “Let’s eat.” He uttered, looking at Sienna who had a smirk on her face. She cleaned the lipstick at the corner of her lips with her pinky finger and stood up, holding him by the arm. They both walked to the dining room and I kept my head slightly lowered. “Baby, can’t we go to the bedroom first? We can eat later.” I heard her mutter, and I unknowingly raised my eyebrows in surprise. ‘Please say no, Mr Ethan. The food won’t taste good when cold.’ I thought, fiddling with my fingers. “Let’s eat first, Sienna. The food will get cold, and we won’t like it. Moreover, I’m pretty hungry.” Mr Cross responded. ‘Yes!’ I yelled in my head as a smile slipped through my lips. I looked up and saw Sienna shoot me another deadly glance before sitting. “I hope this tastes good. It doesn’t look good.” She muttered, looking at the mashed potatoes with disgust. Mr Ethan raised his head and looked at me, letting out a soft smile. “Thank you so much for the food, Mia.” He uttered. “You’re welcome, Mr Cross. I’ll be in the kitchen if you need anything else.” I responded and without hesitation, turned to leave. “Wait!” I took a halt and looked at him. “Sir?” “Have you eaten?” He asked, and I shook my head, ignoring his girlfriend’s angry face. “I haven’t, but I’ll do that now.” “You can join us if…” “Hell no, babe. Why would she join us? She’s a maid, moreover, we have personal things to discuss, don’t we?” Sienna cut him short, and I gulped hard. “I’ll have my food in my room. Thank you, Mr Cross.” I responded. Just then, there was a knock on the door, interrupting our already-ending conversation. “That must be John. He didn't see me before we left the office.” Mr Cross said, and Sienna let out a sigh and rolled her eyes. “I’ll get the door,” I uttered, and he nodded. I took long strides towards the door and when I opened, it was Mr John. His face lit up as soon as he saw me. “Hey, Mia! How are you beautiful?!” He grinned widely, causing me to chuckle softly. “I’m fine, Mr John. How are you too? Please come in.” I said, making way for him to step into the house. “I got you this.” He replied, raising a white small bag as he stepped into the house. “What?” I asked in surprise. “Well, Ethan isn’t the only one that can buy you things, right? I need to constantly remind him that we found you together. Also, I am as nice as he is.” “You really didn’t have to, Mr John.” “I didn’t, but I got it anyway. Are you taking this from me or not?” He raised his brows, and I giggled. “Thank you so much, Mr John.” “John. Just John. Now, where the hell is that boy?” He asked, before looking up. “In the dining room,” I responded, pointing in their direction. “Oh! It’s dinner time. I love this.” He answered excitedly, rushing to the dining room, but then I saw him slow down as soon as he got closer. “Hey, man.” Mr Cross greeted him with a broad smile, while Sienna just had the same cold and angry expression she had on before. ‘Is that how she is to everyone else?’ I wondered. I couldn’t tell why she would give that same attitude to a funny and nice man like Mr John. “You ran off today. I went to your office and saw you were gone.” Mr John responded. “I’m sorry. I was with Sienna, so…” “Oh yeah. I get it. It’s cool. Hi, Sienna.” He greeted, looking at her, but as I expected, she ignored him. “You should join us. I bet we can’t even finish all these by ourselves. Mia prepared a whole feast.” Mr Ethan uttered with laughter, and I smiled proudly. I turned to look, taking a look inside the bag Mr John had given me. “I’m not surprised. I knew she’d be a badass cook.” Mr John answered and winked at me. “And I don’t think I should join you, Ethan. I’ll be in the kitchen with Mia.” We got back to the kitchen, and I proceeded to serve Mr John from the little left, while he sat on the long stools next to the cabinets. “That’s all this is left?” He asked, and I nodded. “It won’t be enough? I can prepare…” “No, no, Mia. It would be more than enough. Have you eaten though?” He asked, and I slowly shook my head. “I can take the remaining…” “Just put it all in one place, let’s eat together,” he said with a grin. “Really?” I raised my brows. “Well, you wouldn’t want to dirty more plates, would you? Since we are here together, let’s just eat together.” He responded, and I eagerly obeyed. I served the remaining dishes and served them on the cabinet. I pulled another stool closer and sat too. “Thank you for the food.” He replied with a grin before picking up the spoon. He took a scoop from the mashed potatoes and when he put it in his mouth, I saw his eyes slowly widen. “Woah! This is so good! What?” He exclaimed, and I laughed. “Thank you, Mr John.” “Trust me, I’m glad you’re living here. I don’t think Ethan has had homemade food as tasty as this. His stomach will definitely thank him tonight.” He uttered, taking another scoop. “Really? He cooks himself? And what about his girlfriend, she cooks too?” I further asked. “Sienna? Cook?” He scoffed and shook his head. “I’ve never seen her do anything in the kitchen. Ethan cooks a lot. In fact, he prefers to make his food himself. He’s pretty good, but you are better! He orders pizza and food on days he’s feeling too lazy to cook.” “Wow.” My face lit up with a smile. “I didn’t picture him to be a good cook.” “I didn’t either until I tasted his food.” He answered, and I nodded. We continued eating in silence and I kept fighting the urge to ask about Sienna from him, and why she ignored his greeting. “Ermm… can I ask you something? I don’t want it to seem like I’m prying…” “C’mon, Mia. Just ask.” He answered, looking at me. “Errmm… I noticed Miss Sienna ignored your greeting earlier. Did something happen or is that just how she is?” “Why do you ask?” He let out a smirk and took a sip from his glass. “Because I don’t think she’s happy about my presence here. Since she got here, she’s been looking at me in a kind of way, like she doesn’t like me at all.” He heaved a sigh and put down his glass. “Look Mia, the best thing I’d tell you about Sienna is that you should ignore her. She’s pretty frustrating and unbearable. The only person who can tolerate her is Ethan, and honestly, I don’t know how he does it.” “Oh,” I murmured, slowly nodding. “Just stay clear of her. You’ll be fine. I do that most of the time too.” “Hmm, I will,” I answered and continued eating. “There you are.” We raised our heads as we heard Mr Cross from the kitchen door. This time, we had finished our dinner already. “There you are too.” Mr John responded. “Mia, that food is heavenly!! Wow. I haven't tasted such great food in weeks!” He exclaimed, and my cheeks flushed hard. “Thank you, Mr Cross. “I told her that too. My belly blesses the day we saw her.” Mr. John responded as Mr. Ethan walked closer to where we were. “Where is she?” He further asked. “She left. Her mother called.” Mr Ethan answered. “And you didn’t drive her there?” “C’mon, John, you know I’m tired. She took one of the cars.” He sighed, and I gulped, acting like I wasn’t listening to them. I continued doing the dishes. “What is that?” He asked, pointing to the white bag on the cabinet. “Oh… Mr John got me a present.” I answered, and he raised his brows. “What? You got her a present? Why?” He furrowed his brows, looking at Mr John. “Are you jealous?” Mr John teased, and he scoffed. “You don’t get to buy her things without my consent, okay?” “I knew it. You’re jealous. Why can’t I? You’re scared she’ll end up falling in love with me?” “John, you asshole!” Mr Cross yelled, running towards him and Mr John ran out of the kitchen, laughing hard. “Goodnight, Mia! I need to get to my house before he murders me! Thanks for dinner!” He yelled from the living room, causing me to burst into laughter. I looked at Mr Cross and I realized he was looking at me and smiling widely. I immediately forgot how to laugh and clamped my lips, letting out a sheepish smile. He began to walk closer to me and my heart began to thump against my chest. ‘What is happening?!’ I yelled in my head as I feared I was going to break a sweat because of how nervous he made me. He stopped in front of me, his smile still solid as ever. “Let’s do the dishes together.”~Ethan~ We began to wash the dishes together, she washed with soap and I rinsed with water. The only noise that could be heard was that of the running water and breakable plates. Though the kitchen wasn’t completely silent, I wanted to hear something from her. I wanted to hear her voice. But I knew that would be impossible if I didn’t start up a conversation. “So…” I uttered out of nowhere, giving her a jump scare. The plate in her hand slipped off and smashed into the floor causing a loud noise. The glass shattered all over the kitchen floor and she instantly fell to her knees to start picking up the pieces. “I’m so sorry, Mr Cross. I…” I moved closer to her and hastily grabbed her by the arm, lifting her from the floor. “There can be glass anywhere. You could injure yourself.” I uttered, moving her away from the spot. I looked at her legs and realized she didn’t even have flip-flops on. “Stay back. I’ll take care of it.” I added. “I’m so sorry, Mr Cross. I didn’t mean to.” Sh
~Mia~My eyes were wide open as soon as I woke up. If I were to guess how many hours I had slept, I’d say that it wasn’t more than four hours. After what I saw happen last night, I couldn’t bring myself to sleep peacefully. One time, I was thinking something was going on between my boss and me, something undeniable yet unspeakable. And the next minute, I saw his girlfriend, on her knees in front of him, pleasuring him, and he seemed to really like it considering the look on his face. Last night, I hid by the stairs on the second floor, taking a peek at whatever they were doing. I knew it was rude of me but I just couldn’t help it. The look of pleasure on his face as he was having fun made me unable to look away. I got so distracted that he ended up looking up the stairs while I was still there. I wasn’t sure if he saw me but I didn’t wait to find out, I ran to my room as fast as I could, hoping he didn’t. As if that wasn’t enough, I could hear her moans and screams coming from h
~Mia~~After a week~“Here we are,” Mr Cross uttered as soon as he parked his car in front of my school. I gulped hard and nodded, staring out of the window. There was a completely different life ahead of me, and even though I loved the idea of it and anticipated this day more than anything else, I felt scared…Scared that I may not fit in. I was scared that everyone would end up hating me like my Aunt and cousins. ‘What if I never make any friends?’ “Are you alright?” Mr Cross' question jolted me out of my thoughts, and I forced on a smile and nodded. “Yes; I am, Mr Cross,” I responded, unbuckling my seatbelt. “I hope you are not having second thoughts.” He added, and I hastily shook my head. ‘Second thoughts? It was way too late for that. Mr Cross had paid every single bill that needed to be paid. I can’t chicken out now. I won’t let him regret that he believes in me.’ “No, I’m not.” “Good. Now, let’s go in.” He uttered, unbuckling his seatbelt too, and I raised my brows in s
~Ethan~It was lunchtime and I couldn’t stop staring at my phone, waiting for her reply. Her class finished about thirty minutes ago, and my message got delivered but she didn’t check. ‘Her next class was going to start in thirty minutes, so why isn’t she replying to my text?’ I thought, dying of curiosity. I needed her to tell me how it was going and how she was feeling. I wanted her to tell me she made friends already and she was loving the school. She promised to update me on how everything was going as frequently as she could earlier this morning, but she hasn’t done that. “Hey!” I heard John’s voice from my door, causing me to raise my head. “What?!” I saw the look on his face as he walked in and I just knew he was about to piss me off. “What the hell is wrong with you? I’ve been standing behind your door for a while and you didn’t look away from your phone for once. Is something bothering you?” He asked, slamming into the chair in front of my desk. I heaved a sigh and shoo
~Mia~I took a look at my phone screen as soon as the lecturer was out and I realized that I had lost track of time.It was 4 p.m. and I finally had some time to breathe. I had been away from the school environment for a while, so I knew it was going to take a long time for me to get used to the hectic routine. I went ahead to check out my iMessage and my eyes widened in shock. I had tons of messages from Mr Cross.“Shit!!! I completely forgot to update him like I had promised.” I muttered.“Hey, Mia, are you heading home now?’ Sharon asked, pulling my attention towards her. “Erm.. yes.” I furrowed my brows in confusion.‘Do we have another class that I’m not aware of?’ I wondered.“Do you have something to do at home?” Sharon further inquired like she was heading somewhere.“Why do you keep asking her questions?” Charles butted in, moving closer to me. He had a wide smile on his face as usual. “We’d like you to join us for dinner. It would be so much fun.”“Oh…”“I mean you’re one
~Mia~I woke up very early so I could clean the house before preparing for school. While I was at it, I couldn’t stop thinking about last night. How Mr Cross fed me my very first piece of pizza, and how I got crazy butterflies in my stomach every time he looked at me with his soft gaze last night. It seemed like we had a connection but I knew that feeling was a lie and I kept reminding myself that. ‘I shouldn’t feel anything for him. I can’t feel anything for him.’ I constantly told myself.“Ding Dong!!!” The doorbell rang, and I raised my head and looked in the direction of the living room.“I’m coming!’ I uttered, running towards the door. It was still pretty early and this made me wonder who it could be.‘Maybe Mr John.’ I thought as I opened the door. To my greatest surprise and disappointment, it was Sienna. ‘Why is she here so early?’ I thought, letting out a feeble smile.“Good morning,” I greeted, but she walked into the house and passed me, hitting her shoulder against mine
~Mia~ “Son of a bitch.” Mr Cross cursed as he stormed out of my room. “Mr Cross!” I called out, quickly reaching for my long robe and putting it on top of my towel as I ran after him. “What the hell is he doing in front of my house? You told him where you live?” He asked angrily, not relenting in his pursuit for the door. “No, no. I swear. I didn’t say anything to him about where I live. I’m as surprised as you are.” My voice trembled as I continued to chase after him. “Then I have to talk some sense into his head,” He spat back, dashing out of the house and heading right for the gate. My heart raced as I ran after him. I had never seen him so mad like that before. I was scared of what he was going to do to poor Charles. “What are you doing here, hun?” He asked as soon as he came face to face with Charles. Charles stood uptight and shook his head. “I… I didn’t mean to cause any trouble. I am here to give her a ride to school.” Charles answered, locking gazes with
~Mia~ I walked down the school hallway with my head lowered, trying to hide the pain I was feeling. The last thing I wanted to do was to pull attention to myself. “What is it with that scarf? A change of style?” I heard Charles’ voice as I approached the door. I raised my head and saw him standing near the door. “Charles,” I called with a hint of disappointment. I wanted him to be in class already so we wouldn’t have to discuss what had gone down in the morning. “What are you doing out here?” I asked, and all of a sudden, he grabbed my arm and began to pull me away from the door. “What are you doing?” I asked in shock as I followed behind him helplessly. “The lecturer won’t let you in the class again. You’re twenty minutes late.” He uttered as he dragged me into another empty class, not so far from where the lecture was being held. “You weren’t able to get in too?” I asked, my eyes searched his face as he stared at me. “I wasn’t because I got here late too. You know, the delay
~Charles~I stared at my phone, a smirk tugging at my lips. The post had blown up just as I expected. ‘Who doesn’t love this kind of drama?’ I thought, scrolling through the flood of comments.“You’re mad, bro,” Liam said as he strolled into my room, his phone in hand. He already knew I was the mastermind behind the anonymous post.I chuckled, shrugging with pride. “Well, she’s been acting distant, ignoring my calls and messages. What else was I supposed to do?”“She probably caught wind of your plan. Remember, she went to the changing room looking for you,” he said, dropping into my gaming chair with a thud.“Yeah, that’s my guess too,” I replied smugly, still glued to the screen. “But she’s not the type to just ghost me. Nah, I always come out on top.” I scrolled through another comment and smirked. “The whole school’s gonna see her for who she really is.”“But one thing’s bugging me—how did you even find all that dirt on her? She never talks about personal stuff,” Liam said, his to
~Mia~‘Bzzz! Bzzz!’ My phone’s vibration jolted me awake. Groaning softly, I groped blindly on the bedside table, trying to find it.With half-closed eyes, I grabbed the phone and answered, pressing it against my ear as my lids slid shut again.“Hello,” I mumbled, shielding my eyes with my hand.“Mia?”My eyes snapped open at the sound of her voice. I bolted upright. “Hello?”“Aunt Alexa?” I stammered, stunned. I hadn’t expected to ever hear from her again. ‘Why is she calling me now?’“You’re there!” Her upbeat voice practically burst through the speaker. “For a moment, I thought the call had dropped. How are you?”“I’m... fine, Aunt,” I replied, furrowing my brows.“I know this is sudden,” she said, her tone brisk, “but I don’t have time to explain everything right now. Can you swing by the club today?”“The club?” I repeated, my voice tinged with confusion. “What’s going on at the club?”Before she could answer, the door creaked open, and Ethan walked in carrying a tray. On it were
~Mia~A salty warmth touched my tongue as it flicked over his tip, sending a shiver down my spine."Uhmm…" he groaned, his fingers tightening around my head in a wave of pleasure. It was his precum.I took him into my mouth again, savoring the moment, but before I could go further, he pulled away, his chest rising and falling with ragged breaths."I don't want to finish yet," he said, his eyes heavy with desire. "Not until I’ve satisfied you first."Gently, he guided me onto my back, his hands firm but tender. His head dipped between my legs, and I felt his lips against my most sensitive spot, separated only by the delicate barrier of my lace panties."Fuck…" I gasped, my back arching as an intense wave of pleasure washed over me. The dampness of my soaked panties was undeniable, and embarrassment prickled at my skin.I instinctively started to close my legs, but he stopped me, sliding my panties down to my knees. My heart raced as he gazed at me with unrestrained hunger, his stare ig
~Mia~Mr. Cross opened the door, and we stepped into the house together. Evening had already set in. We’d spent countless hours at the restaurant, talking and indulging in new dishes. When I finally surrendered to the limits of my stomach, he insisted on taking me to an ice cream shop for my favorite flavor—strawberry.Once inside, he spun playfully in the center of the living room. “So…” he began with a soft smile, his expression a mix of warmth and mischief that mirrored the playful side I’d seen all day. “We’re back home.”“Yes, we are,” I replied softly, heading toward the couch. I dropped my bag onto it, my gaze lingering on his.His excitement bubbled over as he stammered, “We… we should dance.”“Really?” I asked with a chuckle, raising a brow in surprise. He nodded eagerly, stepping backward toward the TV. Pulling out his phone, he began playing Perfect by Ed Sheeran, syncing it to the speakers. The music swelled, filling the room with its tender melody.“I can’t dance,” I adm
~Mia~Mr. John took a different route home, while Mr. Cross and I headed to a restaurant for lunch. Despite feeling sad and heartbroken, my stomach wouldn't stop growling. As I sat quietly in the car, my phone started buzzing non-stop with messages flooding in from Sharon and Charles.I opened Charles' messages first. "I’ve heard you, Mia. Honestly, I thought I could stay mad at you for more than a day, but I can’t. I’ve forgiven you. Let’s meet up."I scoffed and shook my head at his words. ‘Unbelievable.’“What’s wrong?” Mr. Cross glanced at me, his eyes briefly darting to my phone.“Charles texted me,” I replied, scrolling to the next message. "Where are you, babe? Sharon told me you went looking for me in the changing room, but I didn’t see you. Did you see me?"“What’s he saying?” Mr. Cross asked, returning his focus to the road.“Just random things. He’s acting like the perfect boyfriend I thought he was,” I said flatly, just as another message popped up."Are you still on campu
~Ethan~ John burst into my office, phone clutched tightly in his hand. "Ethan! Ethan!" he shouted, his voice brimming with excitement. I looked up from my laptop, curiosity piqued."Can you stop yelling?" I muttered, my tone barely masking my annoyance. "I'm trying to focus here.""Oh, come on, forget work for a minute," he shot back, plopping into the chair across from me. A sly grin spread across his face. "Guess who's about to go on a date?"I slowly lifted my head, eyebrows furrowed in confusion. "What are you on about? You’ve got a woman now?" I asked, my gaze shifting to the phone he eagerly held out."Darla," he declared, turning the screen toward me. "Met her on Tinder. She's absolutely perfect, mate. Just moved into town. We've been chatting for weeks, and guess what? She wants to meet up. I’ve got a date tomorrow night!""I see, that’s good," I said, forcing a smile to seem supportive. Truth be told, I wasn’t really interested. Listening to him gush about his newfound roman
~Mia~I’d just finished getting ready for school and was rushing to leave the house, my mind spinning with fragmented thoughts about what might’ve gone down between me and Mr. Cross. My memories were scattered, like a puzzle missing crucial pieces, and I was desperate to piece it together. What exactly had he done?“He warned me about someone taking advantage of me, only to do the same thing?” I muttered bitterly, grabbing my tote bag. Before stepping out, I took a quick look in the mirror. An ironed shirt tucked into black trousers cinched at the waist with a belt, paired with simple flats—I looked polished enough. I’d left my hair loose, hoping it would distract from the dark circles under my eyes. Still, the hangover clung to me like a shadow. As I shut my door, I heard Mr. Cross’s door close too. Our eyes locked, and my stomach churned. His gaze seemed to pull fragments of memory from the depths of my mind—the bathtub, his voice, the confusion.I wasn’t ready to confront him. Not
~Mia~ “Hmm…” I squinted, slowly releasing the tension in my eyes. As they fluttered open, the sunlight streaming in hit me, sending a sharp jolt of pain through my head.“Argh,” I muttered, clutching my head as I struggled to sit up. My head felt like a weight my neck could barely hold, and my body seemed unfamiliar, almost foreign.Glancing around my room, I took in the sight of my pajamas. Something flickered in my memory, but it didn’t match what I was seeing now.I let out a low groan, trying to piece it together. The party. I’d been dancing, drinking... and then, I ended up in the bathroom.I leaned over to my bedside table, grabbing my phone, still plugged into its charger. Oddly, I couldn’t remember connecting it. “When did I even get home?” I muttered to myself.I switched on my internet connection, and almost instantly, my phone buzzed and vibrated non-stop. Notifications and messages poured in like a flood, but I only had my eyes set on one thing—messages from Charles. To m
~Ethan~ My tires screeched as I abruptly pulled up in front of the school gate. With a sharp flick, I turned off my engine and slid out of my car. I took hasty and long strides towards the gate, yanking it open in a hurry. I stood in the middle of the school compound, my gaze running through the building as I looked for where the party was taking place. Just then, I heard faint music from the back of one of the tall buildings, and from its side, I could see blue and red lights. ‘There!’ I ran towards the direction of the music, running through the road that led to the back, and there the building was. There were numerous students in front. Some were drinking, some were laughing and chatting and some were making out. As I made my way through them, I could feel their gazes on me. “Wow! Who is he?” “He looks pretty pissed.” “He’s so handsome!” “More like a sugar daddy!” The ladies squealed, but I care less about them. “Mia!” I yelled as I burst into the building. I looked around a
