Chapter 57: The ambush

His heart impulse accelerated as he anticipated the bad news. Just then, all his fears and worries came rushing in like a flood of water, infiltrating his thought process and disrupting his attention.

“Sam, we've received intel that the target has moved locations," Ryder said interrupting Arthur's thoughts, his voice firm.

"We need to adjust our plan accordingly.

“What do you mean?” Sam's voice was also firm. He glanced at Arthur to see his facial expressions and as expected, Arthur was already pissed with the change.

Arthur's mind has been occupied with the information Kelly had told him earlier on.

“I knew we never did such but why do I have such an odd feeling about this,” but he brushed it off with just a shake of the head, he knew he had to focus.

"What's the new location?" he asked, trying to sound calm.

"It's an abandoned warehouse on the outskirts of town. We planned on making our way there once we got a hold of him," Ryder replied.

"We need to move quickly, as we don't kn
