Chapter 56: The second attempt

“Are we striking tonight?” Sam asked as he brought out some bags from the car's trunk. Arthur was getting out of the car and was walking over to him.

“Since we've got eyes on his location and where he is headed, I think tonight's good,” Arthur replied casually, rubbing his chin. These past days, he hasn't been himself lately, constant fear and worries.

They were getting ready for their mission which has been ongoing and planned for the past weeks. Ever since his last defeat, Arthur has told himself to be more calm rather than heading towards danger. He's been hitting the gym and doing some relaxation exercises to cool his temper.

“Tonight, he believes they'll all pay off,” he muttered to himself.

Sam nodded in regards to his previous statement, his eyes scanning the surrounding area as he unloaded the bags. They were just in his mansion back in Maryland, where Scott was still residing with his family but this time they made sure to set all plans right before making any move.
