Chapter 41: The search

Arthur Cassius finally got released from the hospital and was asked to rest well and take good care of himself. This was a week after his legs had been shot. He went back to his mansion in Washington. He sat into his favourite armchair, wincing slightly as he adjusted his bandaged legs. Sam sat across him, as he has always been there for him even though he was fired. Arthur seemed too stubborn to accept that he actually needed all the help that he could get so Sam too, decided to be stubborn and stay around.

“Are you feeling better, sir?” Sam asked concerned.

“Yeah, I am,” he replied simply.

“Why are you still here?” Arthur asked.

“I couldn't just leave you in this state, plus I'm the only one who knows how to go about the situation, so you definitely need me,” he stated firmly. Arthur's brows arched as he stared at Sam.
