Chapter 39: “Where should we search now?”

Khloe Ferguson was still thinking about the letter and was wondering who had sent it to her.

“Who's M? And why did he send me such a letter? Not that it's bad or anything, I'm just curious,” she thought out loud. The letter still in her hand, she tried as much as possible to think of anyone with that name, but it didn't seem to ring a bell.

To distract herself from the mystery of the letter, she decided to focus on her work, which Rachel had piled in front of her.

“This is going to be a long day,” she whispered. Sitting behind the desk, she began going through the papers one after the other. She could have used her computer but the computer could actually do less compared to what she could possibly do. But all this while, her mind kept wandering back to the letter and M.

“Who is M, and why had he written me such a cryptic message?Why's he choosing to be hideous?” Khloe thought to herself.
