I expected that she was going to be considerably shocked when she found about my connection with Charlie, and I was not wrong. In fact, she had exceeded my expectations by far, and right now, she looked like she had seen a ghost. She stared back and forth between the two of us, searching for answers, for some sort of clarification, but I noticed that she couldn’t really focus as her gaze constantly kept straying to Charlie’s wounds and bruises.
