Chapter 74

A young blond woman with a tight bun and even tighter clothes led Alessa to a conference room. Flashes of last night, and her on top of the table filled her brain. She cleared her throat and her mind—well she tried.

Kyle came in a few minutes later also starting at the conference table. Then at Alessa.

“Don’t say anything. Just let Frank do the talking. I am sure once he sees you he will flip out.”

“I’ll flip out with him.” She shot back.

Kyle closed his eyes and took a deep breath. “Let’s just get through today. After this, I am going to have to make him understand that I am not on your side.” He took a seat on the far end of the room away from Alessa and faced the other way.

“Really?” She questioned.

“He can’t think we are in this together,” Kyle said still not facing her.

He didn’t say anything till they both heard the thuds of a stick onto the carpeted floors.
