Chapter 31

Natalia's POV

I arrived at Madrileno's den only to find out he was not in. However, I decided to wait for him, but the man at the exit refused to let me in.

"Leave and come back another day," He spoke rudely, which served only to piss me off. I could do nothing for fear of being beaten up. This was not my turf and I had to tread carefully. I couldn't defend myself, nor could I cry to Gabriel to help me exert revenge should anything happen here.

"I'm not leaving," I retorted adamantly, and we kept on arguing back and forth until Madrileno arrived.

His attitude was strange and infuriating, but I still needed something from him, so I had to compromise and play along.

I assumed I would have to go through the trouble of convincing him again, but he had gotten himself drunk, becoming susceptible to what I had in mind.

"Let me help you," I whispered seductively into his ears and pulled him towards the bed in the room. I tried unbuttoning his shirt, but the stubborn nut was still struggling.
