Chapter 6

Christian was very angry when he reached his room. 

“Amelia” 

He looked around and found her on his poolside talking on the phone. He isn't able to see her face as she is facing the other side. He reached her in long strides and snatched the phone from her hand, throwed it to the wall breaking it into pieces.

A shocked Amelia turned to his side only to find him so close to her with bloodshot angry eyes, she could feel his hot breath on her face. She is already feeling numb by the truth she got to know a while back.

"How dare you take Christy outside without my permission?" He questioned her angrily.

She moved back until her back touched the wall, He gripped her shoulders tightly which surely leaves marks behind. But she is not feeling any pain, her heart and brain are not in a state to register anything. 

"Answer me Amelia? Didn't I tell you not to take any decision regarding Christy" He is getting more angry seeing her not uttering a word.

"Answer me dammit!!" He shouted, making her flinch. Her eyes teared up, Lips quivered, She felt weak all of a sudden, She looked down, Unable to speak anything.

"Look at me when i am talking to you dammit" He clutched her chin and made her look at him with force. 

Tears are continuously rolling down from Amelia's eyes. After seeing Christian face she remembered why he was angry at her from the start of their marriage.

"I am sorry, sorry, sorry..." Amelia continued saying sorry.

"If you think I will forgive you with damn sorry then you are wrong. No one will hurt Christy and get away with a simple apology!!!" Christian shouted. Devastated look on her face is not giving a good vibe but he shrugged off. His daughter is his priority. 

"Don't ever come near my daughter and me” He shouted and left her shoulders, she fell on floor with thud and started crying out. He turned to leave.

"Mummy daddy!!" Christy shouted coming into their room. Christian realized their position and moved away making some space between them.

Christy came straight to the poolside and saw tears coming from her mummy eyes.

"Mummy, why are you crying?" Christy questioned her mummy, her eyes also became wet.

Both Christian and Amelia dont know what to answer Christy. Christy turned to her daddy and asked the same question.

"Daddy why mummy is crying?" Christy questioned Christian. But silence answered her questions. 

Christy is getting frustrated seeing her parents silent. She looked around and found Amelia's phone in a broken state. She picked it up and came near her parents.

"Mummy, You are crying because your phone got broken?" Innocent Christy asked Amelia, Amelia just nodded her head not knowing how to correct her. 

"Don't cry mummy. Daddy will buy you a new phone. Daddy, Bring a new phone mummy." Christy ordered and hugged her mother with a smile. Amelia remembered what happened a few moments before.

Before Christian came to his room:-

      Amelia came out of the washroom after taking a bath and saw her phone was ringing. She attended the call as it was from her childhood friend Shelly. 

"Hi Shelly, How are you? what.." Amelia is cut off by Shelly's voice.

"Amelia, I sent you one video. Please check it" Shelly uttered and cut the call.

Amelia opened w******p still confused with the behavior of Shelly. It is the video of her parents, she clicked the play button still confused.

Mother:- Williams what would happen if Amelia got to know the truth behind her marriage.

Father:- Carina, Nothing will happen. She will understand us. Don't worry.

Carina:- Williams, Marriage is the biggest thing in girls life. How she will understand if she comes to know we took money from Juliana to get Amelia married to Christian. We made a deal?

Williams:- Why won't she understand Carina, She knows our financial situation. With her earnings, it is tough to manage our household, Forget about our business.

Carina:- Still i am not convinced with this honey, What if Christian gets to know about the truth? What will happen to Amelia's life?

Williams:- Carina, Juliana told right she will manage her family? You are worrying unnecessarily.

Video ends....

     Amelia is standing numb not knowing how to react. How can her parents do this to her? Why? just for money? Is money everything to them? Is this the truth Christian was saying? Being a lady, how can Juliana do this to another lady?

     That is the exact moment Christian reached her and started scolding her for taking Christy outside. If she is in his place, she will also do the same right? How can he trust someone who took money to marry him?

Flash back ends...

Amelia started thinking about Christy. When she came to know the truth of her marriage, she just wanted to leave everything and go away but how can she leave this innocent girl who can not see her tears. 

"Mummy dont cry, I am feeling bad seeing tears in your eyes" Christy told again while still being in a hug. 

"I am sorry, I won't cry again. Promise. Don't be sad, Chris" Amelia promised Christy.

But Christy still looked sad, so Amelia started tickling her.

"Mummy shtop..haha mummy....shtop(stop)" Christy spoke in between her laugh. 

Christian became a silent spectator there, one thing he understood, hurting Amelia means hurting Christy and himself. He can hurt himself but he can't afford to hurt Christy, she is his life, the reason for his smile. 

"Angel, Why did you get up from sleep? Is your leg paining? How did you get hurt?" Christian asked Christy.

"Daddy, I asked mummy to take me to the park, I enjoyed it a lot there. While coming back I ran to get ice-cream and fell down. Mummy is not at fault, don't scold her." Christy said in one breath, remembering her father scolding Juliana aunty for taking her out once.

Now Christian got a clear picture of what happened, didn't he know Christy's stubbornness, after all she is his blood. He regretted his actions but didnt let it out.
