Chapter 3

After calming down himself, Christian came back home and went straight to his room by the back door. When he looked at the poolside Amelia was already sleeping in a sitting position hugging her knees and shivering in the cold. 

“Poor she!” Exclaimed his heart.

“She deserves it” Argued his brain.

“I still believe she did not do any mistake” Said his heart.

“Christian, didn't I say not to listen to your heart? If you would have listened to me then all this never happened.” Scolded his brain. 

“Christian I know you won't trust me now but one day you will.” Said his heart. He shrugged off his thoughts and took a blanket for the cupboard and covered her properly without disturbing her sleep.

     Next morning Amelia woke up from sleep, her body was aching badly. She is confused to find a blanket around her, She thought who spread the blanket on her. She looked inside the room only to find Christian nowhere. She went to freshen up, today is her first day in Hudson mansion and she doesn't want to disappoint anyone. She doesn't want anyone to know the issues between her and Christian. When she comes out Christian is already sitting on bed, he is looking fresh. She went near the dressing table to put light makeup to cover her swollen eyes and pale face. 

     Amelia decided to confront Christian regarding yesterday. But she is interrupted by a door sound which was opened suddenly by Christy.

Christy went running to her dad who is sitting on bed and signaled him to pick her up which he did gladly.

"Good morning daddy" Christy wished with a kiss on his cheek.

"Good morning Angel," Christian replied, kissing her forehead. She scanned the whole room and found Amelia near the dressing table. She ran to Amelia and signaled her to bend down. Amelia bent down to her level. Christian is watching curiously because he knows Christy wont mingle with anyone easily.

"Good Morning Mummy" with this Christy kissed Amelia cheek, same like she did to Christian.

Amelia hesitated first but replied "good morning Christy"

Christy pouted, listening to Amelia using her full name.

"Mummy please don't call me Christy, i am feeling oldy" Christy told still with pout.

"Then I will call you baby," Amelia replied smiling.

"Mummy, I am not a baby. I am grown up" she pouted again. After listening to this both Christian and Amelia chuckled at her cuteness.  

After thinking for some time Amelia suggested "What about princess or angel?". This time Christy pout turned into frown.

"Daddy will also call me the same, I want you to call me differently mummy" Christy told.

     Both Christy and Amelia started thinking about suitable nicknames for Christy by keeping fingers on their chin.

    "I got it, yeah!!" Amelia shouting starling little Christy. Realizing what she did she smiled sheepishly. 

"I will call you Chris from now on, how is it?" Amelia asked Christy.

"Wow, mummy you are so genius" Christy smiled brightly clapping her hands, Amelia also smiled genuinely forgetting all her worries. She knows after what happened she can't accept Christian easily but what is Christy's fault in this. Christy is so innocent to blame and so cute to ignore.

Christian looked at them amused. They both are looking like kids to him now. Cute and innocent.

“Daddy see mummy gave me another cute nickname” Christy said running to him.

“Is my baby happy?” He questioned

“Yes so much, now I have a mummy. No one will tease in school. When school reopens I will take mummy there and introduce her to everyone. Everyone will be jealous as my mom is prettier than theirs” Christy said with happiness.

“Anything my angel wants,” He said.

"Oh my god, i forgot why i came here" Christy shouted remembering something and that brought her parents back from their respective thoughts. 

"What is it Chris?" Amelia asked her.

"Juliana aunty asked me to bring you down for some rit...ritu.. whatevel(whatever), come mummy" with that she dragged Amelia down to hall.

     Amelia went down and wished everyone. She hugged Juliana, Jack went to the office and Daniel(Juliana Son) is still sleeping. 

"Sister-in-law, you need to make sweets for breakfast. It is a ritual of the Hudson family" Juliana said sweetly.

"Please call me Amelia, Juliana" Amelia requested.

"ok, if you call me sis like Christian then i will call you with name" Juliana told

"Ok sis, I will go and make sweets and breakfast. Please tell me where the kitchen is?" Amelia asked.

"Come Amelia, I will guide you." Juliana replied.

Before they move, Donna(Elizabeth’s daughter-in-law) stopped them saying "Amelia, Come i will help you in kitchen"

Juliana turned to Donna saying "Its ok mami, i will guide Amelia"

"No Juliana, go and bring Daniel to breakfast. I will help Amelia" Aunty replied.

“No, I will go,” Julian said.

“No aunty you i”

Before she completes, they hear Christy saying "I will help my mummy in the kitchen and that is final."

Everyone was shocked listening to junior CH(Christy Hudson) words and no one dared to argue back. 

In kitchen:-

     Once they reached the kitchen, Amelia made Christy sit on the kitchen slab and she started checking ingredients for making sweets. 

"Chris baby, what is your favorite sweet?" Amelia asked, pinching Christy's cheek.

"Mummy! i love pancakes, Daddy too but he will eat it without sugar. Because he has diab..diabetics." Christy said sadly for her daddy dear.

"No doubt, he is bitter" Amelia thought about Christian but felt pity for him somewhere in her heart.

     While talking about random things they finished cooking and asked their maid to set the dining table. 

"Mumma, I want that sweet first," Christy exclaimed, showing pancakes.

"Christy, how many times have I told you not to eat pancakes before breakfast?" scolded Juliana to which Christy pouted sadly. 

"Sister, she is a kid. Nothing will harm them if they eat one sweet before breakfast?" Amelia told Juliana supporting Christy.

"Amelia child is right, Christy beta take it and eat" Grandma supported Amelia making Christy squeal in happiness.

"Mummy!! I love you" Christy told before stuffing her mouth with a big pancake. Everyone smiled seeing her antics. 

     Amelia took one more pancake in hand making everyone confused.

"Amelia child, i know we are calling you child that doesn't mean you also eat pancakes first" Aunty joked which earned a glare from her mother-in-law and laughter from others.

    Amelia came near Daniel who was hiding behind Juliana and offered him. He took it with a small thank you. Daniel is a shy nature boy. He is not expressive like Christy. Now everyone understands why Juliana is so sure that Amelia will be a good mother to Christy.  

    Christian is watched everything from the stairs and his thoughts went to the day he saw a similar scene like this. A girl distributing sweets in an orphanage. Even the staff forgot about a mute boy standing in the corner but that girl didnt. She went near him and gave sweets to him along with a bright smile.
