They both waited until the old man was driven out of their residence.

Klyde doesn’t know how to approach this. Just ignore it for now? Talk about something else? As for Mel, she’s leaning towards turning it into a joke and teasing him.

But the moment she opened her mouth and turned to look at him, the expression she saw made her speechless. She saw him hesitating with uncertainty but… well, maybe this is what the old man saw. He does have a loving expression on his face as he looked at her. He wrapped her in his arms and gently kissed her face before focusing on her lips.

“Klyde…” She meant to reprimand him. They’re at the entrance. Anyone can see. But she ended up moaning his name.

“So, your husband doesn’t have work today?” Lily asked as they sat on the living room. It’s one of the rare times she’s able to visit. Klyde doesn’t let his wife go out on her own, saying it’s risky as she’s pregnant. Come to think of it, he’s always with her whenever she leaves the house in the last few months.“He doesn’t work on weekends.” Mel took a sip of cucumber juice.Earlier, she and Klyde were chatting about her café when her friend showed up. He kind of… fussed, which was something she didn’t expect to see. He made sure Mel has her pillows and that they have refreshments. He even took her slippers off and made her put her feet up on a separate stool. It took a while before he left for his study. Lily was amused.“I

She expected him to focus more on their child, but he still spends more time with her. He would normally see Klay when she’s in the nursery. She’s beginning to doubt if he goes there on his own.Pops visited often in the first few weeks. He would just sit there in the nursery watching the little boy when he’s asleep. When the baby’s awake, the old man would babble at him even though the baby doesn’t know how to do that yet. But Klay rarely cries in his presence. He would chuckle a lot and wiggle his arms and legs. It’s heartwarming to see.As for Lily, she visited on the baby’s first weekend at home. She brought some baby clothes and some cute things as gifts. She even washed them already so they can try it on immediately.“Why do I fee

She went to take a quick shower and found him with a breakfast tray when she got out of the bathroom. Those were his opening words as she sat on the bed with him.“I’m sorry I can’t give you a daughter.” She muttered, still feeling complicated about it.“Don’t be. It’s fine. He dared not to voice out his observations, though. He wouldn’t jinx it.Her behavior is hugely different than before. He’s convinced they’re really having a girl this time. Mel was amused when he predicted such a thing, and told him it’s a boy, just to rile him up. She even came up with a name, Kyle. He spent so much time practicing it with him.Mel wasn’t even competing with him. “Now teach him how to say mama.”That kid is definitely going to grow up as daddy’s boy. She’s extremely satisfied with the way he’s very hands-on in raising their son. Who knew he could be very patient? She wasn’t as patient as him.Right now, the man is slowly teaching him how to walk. Klay crawls a lot and is very active, but he can’t walk on his own two feet yet. Klyde needs to hold his body or his arms to get him standing up.Without any experience, he was initially afraid of holding him. The boy was so delicate, he was scared he would hurt him, bruise him or break his little body. He had to be very gentle with him.“Here, feed him. He must be hungry now.” Mel passed him a bot
