Chapter 32: Secretary

Margaux smirked when she watched Wilma's face get drained of blood. She was white as paper and seemingly about to faint any second. Standing on her side was David, who was holding her for support while his eyes were staring coldly at her.

“So, why are you talking to them?” Daisy shook her head in displeasure, “Shouldn't you mingle with more important people than hang out with them who are insignificant to us?” her tone was sharp as she deliberately looked at Hendrix's parents while saying it.

Margaux's eyes glinted upon seeing David's face darkened. Honestly, just like his son, she hadn't interacted with him even once. Because the old man was just always on the side, silently watching his wife throwing insults at her.

When she felt someone hold her hand, Margaux finally averted her gaze from Hendrix's parents and looked at her aunt Belinda.

“Come here, Sweetie. Let's just catch up,” Belinda said softly then gently pulled her away from the crowd.
