Chapter 289: Drunk

Margaux stirred from her sleep as she felt thirsty. Still heavily drunk, she did not want to leave her bed and just go back to sleep, but she suddenly heard a noise from outside.

Not interested in whatever was happening outside, she covered herself with the blanket. However, her throat felt so dry which was uncomfortable. That's why having no choice, she sat up with a loud grunt.

She dragged her feet towards the door grumpily. She could just call and ask their servants to bring her a glass of water but despite being drunk, she did not want to disturb them thinking that they were already fast asleep.

Her eyes were still closed as she opened the door, but then it instantly snapped open upon hearing Hendrix’s name.

“What did you say?” Margaux’s eyebrows were deeply furrowed as she squinted her eyes.

Her parents and cousins were all gathered outside her room but she did not think of any reason as to why they were there. All she could think about was Hendrix at that moment.
