Chapter 139: Talk

Margaux was taken aback at the sudden question. But she immediately recovered and equalled his stares.

“No. I don't have feelings with him anymore,” she said resolutely.

It was a lie as she knew it was not easy to move on and just forget about her feelings that she had been harboring for five years. However, she won't admit it in front of her father, especially in front of her uncle who obviously wanted to warn her for his daughter.

“Then, there will be no problem if you stay away from him,” the King said casually.

She was about to retort when her father beat her to it.

“My daughter can do whatever she wants. No one can control her,” Don Geronimo said sternly.

“Can’t she do it for the sake of her cousin?”

Her father snorted. “What can Liana do for Margaux’s sake then?” he shook his head. “You know everything’s a barter. Nothing is free now”

The King, her uncle, clenched his jaw. But still, he was able to keep his cool as he shifted his gaze back to her.
