Chapter 127: Truth

Hendrix let out an exasperated sigh.

He didn’t expect that proving her that his feelings were genuine was a lot harder than he thought it would be.

“I am telling my side of the story because I want you to know that I didn’t completely abandon you. I am saying these to you so you would stop thinking that I never cared. I cared, I truly am, Margaux. I was just naive and too guilty as well,” he said while shaking his head.

Margaux stared at him blankly before she spoke again. “You were guilty? For what?” she asked.

Hendrix lowered his head. He knew that if he wanted Margaux to trust him again, he had to be honest with her and confess every wrong that he did to her. However, it was not easy for him to admit the reason why he felt guilty because it's basically confessing that he onl;y used her for his gain.
