**Elora's POV**
“What the heck did you just tell me?” I asked him.
“I said I would tell you everything you need to know, only if you spare me.” He said.
I ordered the guards to take him to where he would be whipped mercilessly. Maybe he wasn't in his right senses before asking to be spared after taking another person's life. The whipping should bring him to his senses. I could hear his screams as he got whipped and it was like music to my ways. He was a wicked man and desm deserve sympathy nor pity and definitely not mercy.
After a while, he was brought back, looking almost half dead.
“Now, what did you tell me again?” I asked, thinking the whip might have reset his brain, but I was wrong.
“Spare me.” He coughed out blood.
I frowned. “Your audacity today is alarming, Elder
**Author's POV**Dexter stepped into the woods and looked around. After returning from the witch's place and acquiring power, he realized that his senses were heightened more than before and he was almost invincible. He could do whatever he wanted to, see whatever he wanted, and hear whatever he wanted as well. And what he had heard was something he wouldn't want to happen. He'd have to take them out to avoid his plans getting ruined by a wannabe Luna.He disappeared and appeared in front of the hut where he had kept the elders himself. With a smirk, he placed a knock on the door. When the elders realized that he was the one, they opened the door for him and he entered.“Oh my goodness, Dexter, you're back!” Elder Moon exclaimed.“He looks different from when we last saw him.” Elder Matt chuckled.“Were you a
**Damon's POV**After Elora fainted, I panicked and quickly caught her before she hit the floor. I stared at the writing in blood, and no one needed to tell who the heck had done that.Dexter!I knew the moment we stepped in and saw the dead elders that Dexter was responsible. He had killed them to cover up for his crimes, and so they wouldn't expose what he had done.“Clean the place up,” I ordered the guards and left with Elora. When I got to the palace, I rushed her to the room and placed her on the bed. Zena and Luca rushed in immediately with worried looks on their faces.“Oh my goodness! What happened to her?” Zena asked and I sighed.“She passed out.” I answered.“What are you doing standing there, let's look for a way to revive her,” Zena panicked and started searching around. “Hey, Luca, go get water, anything and call the pack doctor!” She dashed out orders and I became shocked because I thought they were bad people and seeing her panic this much, even more than me, started m
**Zora's POV**When I returned to the room, I locked the door and jumped up happily.“I wonder what happened to her that made her faint, Lucien. Do you think it's the poison?” I asked Lucien, who sat on the bed, his lips forming into a smile.“I don't think it's the poison. The poison is supposed to lilo her slowly before getting worse, and that should be after the final dose. You're so smart, Zora!” He praised, and I smiled, pretending not to know what he was talking about.“Smart?” I asked.“Yes. I liked how you acted all worried about her and made Damon rush to get her water. You even argued with him and I bet he's confused right now whether we have ulterior motives or not.” He whispered and I chuckled. He was right, though. Everything I did out there was an act to make Damon lower his guard and to also confuse him. Luckily for us, I was able to inject Elora the last dose before he returned from the bathroom with water. The feeling was superb, and I can't wait to see the effects of
**Author's POV**Dexter sat on a chair that looked like a throne in an apartment he had conjured up by himself, blood dripping from his hand. He had killed the elders, and he was very proud of what he had done. He felt no remorse or regrets for what he did. They had become an obstacle and he got rid of them. He wanted nothing to foil his plans and was ready to go extreme to accomplish his goals. He looked at the blood dripping from his hand with an accomplished smile on his face and stood up.“Elora,” He chuckled as he called her name. He had seen what happened when she saw the note of warning he left on the wall for her. “I had no idea you were this frightened. Now that I know you can't stand the sight of blood, I know exactly what to use against you. Why don't I play with your emotions a little before finishing you off for good, Luna?” He cackled and disappeared, reappearing in the palace. He made himself invisible so no one would see him and since it was already the dark of night,
NEXT DAY…Elora woke up with a start. She looked beside her, but couldn't find Damon in bed. She tried to stand up but was hit by a throbbing headache. “Ouch!” She exclaimed, placing her palm on her forehead. When the pain subsided, she sat up and ran her hands through her hair. Her mind drifted to what happened in the middle of the night, and she rubbed her neck. Standing to her feet, she rushed to the bathroom, and threw the door open. Nothing was there. Returning to where she stood up from, she concluded that it might have been a hallucination.“But what hallucination would feel so real and painful?” She questioned herself, but the more she thought about it, the more things didn't really fall into place. It didn't make sense. There was no way Dexter could enter the palace without the palace guards getting a glimpse of him.The door to the room was locked, so there was no way he might have entered the room either. And if he had entered, for instance, she should have felt his pres
Elora tried to get her act together, but it wasn't working. She had no idea what was wrong with her. She used to see blood before and nothing happened, so why was it having an effect on her now? Was it because the one she saw the elders in was worse and had triggered something within her?On the other hand, could it be because of the note? Because of the threat Dexter gave her? Her vision blurred and she staggered backwards but Damon held her. He was really worried about her. He looked at the dead bodies and faced the guards.“Take them away and do what is required.” Damon ordered the guards. They bowed and took the dead bodies away. The maids rushed in and cleaned the place up immediately.Damon held Elora and led her to her seat. Elder Blake sighed as he watched her. No one needed to tell him what was coming for them. What he feared the most was finding its way to the pack. His only prayer was for Elora to be able to handle it when the time comes. When Elora finally calmed down, Dam
**Elora's POV**It's been a week and still, there was no success in catching Dexter. It seemed like he possessed a kind of power that made him invisible to those that were looking for him. We only saw his hand works on the body of those he killed.Although he had laid low for some time, I am still anxious because I have no idea when he was going to attack again. I've been serious with my training and surprisingly, I was starting to become as good as Damon, but not that good.I was making progress though because I was able to fight off a few men and also measured up to Damon as well. I've also tried to learn how to control myself at the sight of blood. Another problem was that I would randomly feel a sharp pain in my stomach, and it would knock me down. I told Zena about it, and she asked me to go see the doctor. I think I'll do that. With a sigh, I stood up from the bed and made my way to the throne room, where I met Elder Blake. From his expression, he wasn't looking quite alright.
**Author's POV**Elora brought out envelopes and plain sheets to write the letters. Elder Blake stood behind her, watching her keenly to make sure she didn't make any mistakes."The Morning Pack, The Red Moon pack and the Midnight pack." She wrote down the names of the packs on their respective envelopes.Elder Blake stared at her shaking his head slightly. She sighed, wondering what she did wrong this time around. She was used to his disapproval Sometimes especially when it came to important matters like this."You know what you're going to start with right?" He asked and she shook her head, a frown appearing on her face. "You're writing letters to packs that are known as the most powerful packs right?" he asked, and she nodded immediately, wondering where he was headed."Then give them an eulogy first, they have fiery tempers, I'm sure they won't find an issue with it." he suggested and she actually saw sense in what he had said. What was she thinking that didn't make her think of t
