Elora tried to get her act together, but it wasn't working. She had no idea what was wrong with her. She used to see blood before and nothing happened, so why was it having an effect on her now? Was it because the one she saw the elders in was worse and had triggered something within her?On the other hand, could it be because of the note? Because of the threat Dexter gave her? Her vision blurred and she staggered backwards but Damon held her. He was really worried about her. He looked at the dead bodies and faced the guards.“Take them away and do what is required.” Damon ordered the guards. They bowed and took the dead bodies away. The maids rushed in and cleaned the place up immediately.Damon held Elora and led her to her seat. Elder Blake sighed as he watched her. No one needed to tell him what was coming for them. What he feared the most was finding its way to the pack. His only prayer was for Elora to be able to handle it when the time comes. When Elora finally calmed down, Dam
**Elora's POV**It's been a week and still, there was no success in catching Dexter. It seemed like he possessed a kind of power that made him invisible to those that were looking for him. We only saw his hand works on the body of those he killed.Although he had laid low for some time, I am still anxious because I have no idea when he was going to attack again. I've been serious with my training and surprisingly, I was starting to become as good as Damon, but not that good.I was making progress though because I was able to fight off a few men and also measured up to Damon as well. I've also tried to learn how to control myself at the sight of blood. Another problem was that I would randomly feel a sharp pain in my stomach, and it would knock me down. I told Zena about it, and she asked me to go see the doctor. I think I'll do that. With a sigh, I stood up from the bed and made my way to the throne room, where I met Elder Blake. From his expression, he wasn't looking quite alright.
**Author's POV**Elora brought out envelopes and plain sheets to write the letters. Elder Blake stood behind her, watching her keenly to make sure she didn't make any mistakes."The Morning Pack, The Red Moon pack and the Midnight pack." She wrote down the names of the packs on their respective envelopes.Elder Blake stared at her shaking his head slightly. She sighed, wondering what she did wrong this time around. She was used to his disapproval Sometimes especially when it came to important matters like this."You know what you're going to start with right?" He asked and she shook her head, a frown appearing on her face. "You're writing letters to packs that are known as the most powerful packs right?" he asked, and she nodded immediately, wondering where he was headed."Then give them an eulogy first, they have fiery tempers, I'm sure they won't find an issue with it." he suggested and she actually saw sense in what he had said. What was she thinking that didn't make her think of t
Elder Blake snuck out of the palace and made his way to the location Dexter had given him. Dexter's joy was boundless when Elder Blake told him he had the stamp, but that joy didn't do away with his common sense. When Elder Blake got there, he placed a knock on the door and it opened.“Come in,” He heard Dexter's voice from within, and it sent chills down his body. With shaky hands and feet, he found himself moving to the direction the voice came from. He saw different people on the floor, bound with chains and felt bad for them. He prayed his daughter was fine.“Dexter.” He called when he got to where Dexter was seated.“I have nothing to say to you, old man. Our deal ends here,” He stretched out his hand and Elder Blake sighed, bringing out the stamp.Dexter smiled the moment the stamp entered his hand. He gestured for those with him to release the girl and they did.“Now, get the fuck out of here!” He snapped at the old man and returned his gaze to the stamp in his hand.Elder Blake
**Elora's POV**"I stole it and gave it to Dexter." He repeated. My shoulders shook as I started laughing, all I could do was stare at Elder Blake like he was a comedian in a comedic show.I kept laughing, "You have got to be joking." I said."You're joking right?" I asked, my heart suddenly gripping with fear."No Alpha, I'm not joking." He replied, he stared at me with so much guilt in his eyes."If you don't believe me, let me take you to where I kept the seal." He said.I still felt like he was joking and I wanted it to not be true, but it felt like it was true at the same time.I searched the place where I kept the seal and I didn't see it.I couldn't believe my eyes, it felt like a dream, I didn't want this to be real.I clenched my fists as I took a shaky breath in, I was shaking so hard my knees almost buckled beneath me.I know how important that seal is to the pack and me.It was very essential and it was bad if it got into the wrong hands, I began pacing the room, my heart s
**Damon's POV**I led Elder Blake into a secret part of the garden where the betas that have stayed in the pack usually has secret meetings. No one knew about the place except the Alpha or Luna, the elders, and the newly appointed betas. While Elora was showing me around the palace and dictating my roles to me, she had brought me here and told me how it should be kept a secret. Dexter might have been a beta in the pack once and known of this place but after I found out about it, I changed the passcode and tightened the security. No one except me and Elora can access it.When I brought Elder Blake there, I made him sit down, and sat too, facing him. We stared at each for a while and I suddenly heaved a deep sigh of relief.“I'm so glad you survived, Elder Blake.” I smiled at him.He chuckled. “Believe me, my heart was in my throat. That place is so scary!” He exclaimed.“Typical Dexter, of course. Do you think he would stay in a fancy place, considering that his soul is as dark as night
**Elora's POV**I started laughing, refusing to believe him, "I'm sure you're joking." I said."I'm not joking, I'm being serious." Damon replied, his eyes holding mine."You're just saying that to make me feel better." I scoffed rolling my eyes, I know how much he cares for me, but telling me this now to make me feel less angry with Elder Blake was not working."I'm being serious." he answered immediately, I gaped at him, trying to gauge from his expression if he was lying or telling the truth."It's really not a lie." He came closer to me, whispering."Why are you whispering?" I asked him.He shook his head coming closer to me, "I can't shout it out, the walls have ears." He whispered."And what I'm saying is true, there's a spy here and that's why I'm not screaming about it."I stared at him for a little while, still hesitant to believe him. I remembered how I checked for the seal and I saw nothing, it felt like it was a lie.I could feel his eyes on me and I refused to look at him.
**Author's POV**Elora called for a meeting with the whole pack, she wanted to make sure her plan worked immediately. The room was filled after ten minutes, everyone sat in their chairs and waited for Elora to speak. "Bring him in." Elora said firmly to the guards who stood at the entrance waiting for her command. There was a loud gasp in the room as Elder Blake was brought in by the guards. He was made to stand in the middle with Elora, he looked at her with eyes wide open, his eyes narrowing a little, Elora's expression was stern as she stared back at him."I called for a meeting because of Elder Blake." Elora announced, the room became noisy as other elders began wondering what Elder Blake did to be brought in as a criminal.Whispers of 'what happened' were heard in the crowd of elders and Blake himself was beginning to sweat under his gaze from Elora's cold stare.Elora spoke once again, "You've done something wrong Elder Blake, you already know why I brought you here, I wanted th
