Chapter 96

I woke the next morning to the sun shining into our room and birds chirping. I felt next to me and my mate was already out of bed. I sighed as one of our boys chose that exact moment to stretch. I smiled as I rubbed my belly, “That’s a good idea, sweetheart.” I stretched my arms and legs as much as I could, hearing every joint in my body pop, then pulled the covers off my body. I threw my legs over the side of the bed and looked around to see if my mate was in our room. I looked at the clock and realized it was ten am. I remember thinking, “I must have really needed a day to sleep in.” I got out of bed and walked to our bathroom. I did my morning routine and put on a short sleeved maxi dress and a pair of flats.

I walked downstairs and followed the smell of sausage to the dining room and found my mate at the Alpha’s table with Andrew and Jacob. I went to see what the cooks had already sat out, but none of that really looked good, so I sat down with them and asked, “How’s everything g
