I rubbed my temple briefly then exhaled a puff of air. I gave Sam a brief look and then focused on my laptop.

"If you think I will walk around with you at a good forsaken jewellery shop then you are mistaken. Sam, I have more pressing matters to attend to." I declared.

"Fine, I'll just do it alone." He groaned with furrowed brows. Then he drew his face closer to me, "Wait, is that a new tattoo on your arm?"

The small smile that had creased my lips vanished. "Sam, I need to work!" I coldly uttered which caught him leaving.

My eyes rested on the fresh tattoo of an angel on my arm. Every tattoo on my skin reminded me of her. She was engraved in every ink on my flesh. The pain inflicted by the tattoos each time they were carved on my skin, was nothing compared to the pain that she inflicted on my heart.

They say time heals all wounds. That with time every sore wound heals eventually. But still, my wound was fresh six years later.
