Vince's POV

Amanda narowed her eyes. "What do you mean, you want to tell me something about the file?"

I took a deep breath and looked into her hazel brown eyes. They looked so round, so innocent, despite all the trauma with her dad and the gang. I am in awe of her. No way would I be able to pull myself together like her, had I experienced everything she had gone through.

I pulled her up from her bed, and held her hands in my arms. They felt so small, so vulnerable. I know I would do anything to protect her. Amanda was my one and only. In the peace of the night, I pulled her into my arms. We'll take it slow, Vince. Just as I was mad because she didn't tell me about her whereabouts, I don't want to scare her away. It's time to get down to business first.

She smiled at me beneath her lashes, and she was so beautiful and irresistable in her nightdress. I went closer to her, inhaling her addictive scent of strawberries and her body wash, running my lips across her jawline. I almost
