The Angry Punches

Chaos on the street, repeated reporting on the news, word of mouth made the news of the dead vigilantes an important one. Everyone kept talking about that. The police cordoned off the area where the dead bodies were kept on display, the mangled, branded dead bodies.

Renata was having her breakfast and she received a message that the office was closed due to all the roads being closed off due to busy police and media. She asked what had happened and she was told to watch the news. She didn’t know if she was allowed to watch the TV yet. So, she asked permission from Severino.

“May I watch TV? I don’t have to go to work today,” said Renata.

“You don’t have to ask. Whatever is in the house, you can use it,” said Severino.

“Thank you!” Renata switched on the TV and tuned into a news channel. The first picture that came on was of the mangled bodies. She cried at the top of her lungs and hid her face. She was breathing heavily. Severino came running to see what had happened.
