Miles laughed softly under his breath, and I tried not to snicker.

“What’s so funny?” Nonna asked.

“Nothing. That’s just what Mick calls her. His miracle.” He pulled me close and kissed the top of my head. “She’s both out miracles.”

“I think you all need to look up what a miracle really is,” I laughed dryly. “I’m a rogue, orphaned, ex-sex worker with a bounty on her head. Don’t get me started on my emotional baggage.”
