welcome to the northland

Chapter 5

Jason's pov; 

"Please don't do this, if you want to hurt me, you can but, please leave my friends off of this," I said to him as I cried out loud. I am still shocked by the death of Daniel, and cannot see all of my friends die because of me.

"Ok let's put it this way, I will set you free but, you must promise to follow your new family back home, if you try to be stubborn, then all your friends die." He said to me and I have no other choice than to obey his words.

My friends never deserved all of this. They have a happy family that has a peaceful home but they choose to be with me. I can never watch them die because of me l, they have every right to be alive.

I have to do anything in my power to make sure the rest of them do not die. And as for Daniel, I shall avenge his death.

I allowed them to take me, this time I had chains all over my hands, they made sure I was chained like some dog because they believed that I could run away at any time.

We got to the northland. The truck was opened for me to get down. And to my greatest surprise, I saw my uncle waiting for my arrival. He was waiting for me to get to the north successfully.

When he saw me, he smiled. I could feel the Joy in his heart. I believed that his seeing In so much pain and tears was what gave him so much Joy.

I gave a very happy look as he took me past his side. I endured all the pains and torment. I made sure to give him no sign of sorrow.

I was taking away my cage. I was locked up where a very dangerous-looking animal was also locked. I could not believe that this would make me spend day and night with a deadly animal. It roared at me but was not scared. 

I have been through a lot already and I am no longer. scared of anything. I am now ready for anything that comes my way.

A few minutes later, I could hear my uncle's voice, he was making them know that he had played his part and it was their time to take over.

Hearing his voice alone was enough for me to kill him if I had the opportunity.

I got very close to where I was looking up, he stared at me and then he began saying.

"I can see that you are getting familiar with your new home." He didn't stop looking at him I ball to I ball. Ok wanted him to feel guilty from looking at my eyes. But, I regretted it. It was of no use that my uncle's heart seemed to be made of rock.

"Why aren't you saying anything? I could have killed you If I wanted to, but I gave you a chance, I allowed you to be free." He said to me with so much courage and seriousness.

"Enough! I don't want to hear that from you anymore, so you call this freedom? Does this look like freedom to you?"

 I said to him with so much anger, trying to tear the chains apart but, unfortunately for me, it was made of raw gold. My powers are completely allergic to gold, so any time I try to use my power, the gold chains attempt to burn my hands to ashes.

"I don't know what you are thinking, or whatever plan you have but, I will make you a promise; I will be back, I shall get back on my feet again, I shall make you kneel before me and you shall beg for your, life," I said to them but,  could not find any trace of fear in his heart.

He appeared to be so confident. He doesn't even have any trace of human sympathy. 

"You ask too many questions at the same time but, I have only one answer for you; If I knew it would be possible for you to get back on your feet as you said earlier, I would have never brought you here in the first place." He laughed and continued saying.

"Welcome to the northland, I made a promise to myself not to kill you, so I brought you to a place where you will kill yourself, welcome to hell Jason." He said to me and I was not scared at all. 

My uncle has no idea that I have made up my mind to face anything that comes my way today.

"I have given you my word and that I shall never fail to do, mark my words, I shall remind you of this day, and you shall regret everything you have done to me," I said to him and he stood up immediately, it seemed like he was about to leave.

"As you can see I am about leaving and I will love you to enjoy the rest of your day, least I forget, I also have a little package as a send of greeting to you." He said to me and immediately as he said it, two northern soldiers came into my cell. They lifted me and gave me the beating of my life.

They beat me up like they were beating some kind of animal. Even when I noticed that they were tired of beating me, they didn't stop.

"Enough now!" Another northern army officer came in.

He looked fully armed like some kind of general.

Immediately as he told them it was enough they stopped beating me.

He even to them never to do it again. He said I was bought to work, and if I get a week from the beating, how do they expect me to work?

"Welcome to the north Mr. Jason, here is where everything happens." He said to me but, I didn't understand what he was trying to say.

"Ok! let me go straight to the point, today is your first day at work, and you have got to get going better you are getting late for work." He said to me and I was startled for a moment.

What sort of work does he mean?
