Lyra's POV

I froze.

Then I furrowed my eyebrows at Tristan, "what the hell, why would I do something like that?"

Tristan ignored my question and then he took a bite out of his meal before turning to me, "I dont know what fucked up reason you have but it all points to you"

I was furious. I had risked my life to save his friend and the first thing he did was to pint accusatory fingers at me. I wasn't the one who invited us out to go horse riding, I wasn't the scumbag who didn't show up, I wasn't the person who tried to have me killed.

Tristan's accusations were baseless, I looked to Philip who was silently listening to the conversation. His expression was unreadable and for the first time I couldn't quite note what was going on in his mind. It was like he himself knew not what was in his mind.
