Chapter 100

Asher's POV

I stayed by the door to listen for a while longer to hear what they were saying. Philip was getting very angry and he even had to yell. After he yelled, the room fell deathly silent, it was like that sound was something that was not often seen and Tristan was still very not used to it.

I wanted to fall over in laughter.

However, it was still a little sad. To other people, Lyra and I were heartless for thinking of pulling such a trick against two friends. But Tristan did not deserve such loyalty from Philip. I know and acknowledge that everybody has their own shortcomings but Tristan's was specifically too short and he never even tried to deal with it. He never tried to change, to look at his flaws in the eyes and fight against it. I was even sure that whenever he tried to reflect on his actions, there was nothing to reflect on. He would not see his actions as anything that needed to be reflected on.
