Asher's POV

Before Philip could finish the job, I immediately ran towards him at a speed that was faster than that of the fastest human alive. I wrapped my fingers around Philip's wrist, stopping him from completing his mission.

"Hold on, we need to find out what's going on".

Philip omitted strong killing intent that succeeded in pushing me away from him. I looked at him, feeling the overpowering pressure of his killing intent weighing down on him.

"Philip," I called, "you need to calm down".

"He broke in," Philip said, "tried to kill me". His voice was scarily calm.

I knew that Philip would be taking advantage of this because he wasn't really in a good mood to begin with and this assassin just served himself on a platter for Philip.
