Chapter Forty-five

CATHERINE POV

I followed Raya through the forest, the moonlight guiding our way. As we walked, I could feel the tension in the air. We were heading toward the pack's territory, and I knew that things were about to get interesting.

"You're sure about this?" I asked Raya, my voice filled with nerves.

Raya stopped and turned to face me. "I am," she said. "Trust me. This is the only way."

I took a deep breath, and I nodded. "Okay," I said. "I trust you."

With that, we continued on our way.

As we neared the pack's territory, I could hear the sound of howling. It was low and eerie, sending a shiver down my spine. "What is that?" I asked Raya, my voice trembling.

Raya's ears pricked up, and she cocked her head. "It's a call to the pack," she said. "A call to arms."

My heart sank. I knew what that meant. The pack was preparing for battle. And I was about to be thrown right into the middle of it.
