Azalea Before I knew it a week had flown by. A week in which all I did was eat sleep and cuddle with Logan. A few days in my brother came to apologize. He looked a little worse for wear - spotting a black eye, a busted lip and a limp. I had already forgiven him but seeing him like that made me smile a little. I knew what or shall I say who happened to him. Logan. He did not take kindly to anyone hurting my feelings. We talked for awhile before he told me him and Kailani would be returning home the next day. He said he needed to make sure that their pack was training hard and getting ready for the war to come. My heart hurt at that as I remembered the three lives lost. After the first week I was too restless to stay in bed anymore. While I was still seriously under weight, my energy had returned and my skin was no longer sallow with my bones sticking out. After Logan left to go to work I got myself dressed in a cute jumper and went out to the garden. I had a lot on my m
Azalea I spent most of my day with Hortencia. I remembered to bring the books and note pad. I asked her what felt like a hundred questions and she patiently answered them as we harvested more of my garden. The sun was bright and I felt more engerzised than I had in awhile. When I asked her more about what the witches did to wolves they caught she said much of it was in the book I had just started. She did tell me that I should be safe enough to shift as long as my mate was close. She said that she wanted me to spend some time thinking of some potions that I wanted to make. That with my unique blend of skills there had to be something that I thought could be useful to me. I asked her if potions were only liquids or powered like we had done before. When she asked me why I explained that I could have used my voice when we were battling but that I wasn't sure that it wouldn't hurt the people that were fighting with us as well as those against us. She smiled and asked what I
Azalea I had so many questions for Hortencia after reading that. We spend much of the next week outside in the garden as she answered them. Then we began breaking down some of the potions in the book, some of which had very rare ingredients and not all of this world. I had written down some ideas for spells that I thought would be useful to me, but I wasn't quite ready to share them yet. She did show me how to create a putty like substance and together we created a potion to mix with it to try out my idea. Of course now we needed guinea pigs. I asked the twins and Titus if they could help me out with it and they came out to the garden along with Cassie. I explained what we had created and the idea behind it and what we were going to try to do. I wanted to see if it would only work on using my voice so I had Titus come to try his voice out on it as well. The twins were always up for some excitement and easily agreed. Though they complained that the ear putty was cold they
Azalea I had a hard time the rest of the day. I was very unsettled and couldn't sit for long. I barely ate dinner and I was worrying Logan. After dinner he drew a bath and we sat there in the hot water as he tried to massage away my panic. His distraction worked and for a few hours after I slept. Until the nightmares hit again. This time I didn't recognize the place and only some of the people. I saw enforcers that I only recognized because of their uniform fighting and I saw fire. I watched in horror as Charlotte was blasted into a group of enforcers, all of them tumbling down like pins. Then I watched as Rich ran over and scooped her up before hding behind a desk. Other enforcers were coming into the room and lots of shifters spilling into the room trying to avoid being struck. I saw him hand Charlotte's body to one of the enforcers who managed to get out of the room before the whole room blew up. I woke drenched in sweat and screaming. Logan jerked up beside me and I
Azalea I slept well for a few hours until I felt a pull. I woke up and threw on a night gown. I looked over to make sure that Logan was still asleep before slipping out of our room. I let my feet lead me out the back door and through the garden into the forest. I thought momentarily that it was strange that I didn't see any enforcers around but still I continued. I needed to go though I didn't know where. I walked for a while through the woods until I came to a small clearing covered in moon flowers and bathed in moon light. The cleared glowed in a way that should have been eerie but instead felt soothing. I sat down in the middle of the clearing the fragrant smell of moon flowers surrounding me. I could almost feel a charge in the air that called out to my power and I sighed feeling relaxed. I heard a noise in front of me and watched a woman step out into the clearing with me. She was the most beautiful person I had ever seen and I stared in awe as she came closer to me
Azalea So far it looks like they all believed me. I hated lying to them but I knew what would happen if I told them the truth. I went upstairs and retrieved the empty book that Hortencia had given me. I sat in the garden for an hour writing down the potions that were now fully formed in my head. They were altered versions of the witch's potions and I knew exactly what each would do. Then I started my story. Just in case something happened I wanted them to know why. I gave an abridged version of what got me to this point in time and laid out what I needed to do in the new few weeks because I knew that after Cassie's mating ceremony I had to go. I took the book with me to Hortencia's. Her eyes were sad when she answered the door and I knew that she knew the time was near. She made my shadows wait outside so we could talk. After handing me a cup of tea, that's eactly what happened. I told a shortened version of what the moon goddess showed me. I showed her some of the spell
Azalea Once we were out in the garden I noticed that there was already a patch of soil prepared for our seeds. I introduced the girls to Hortencia, who asked Celia some random questions about her coven and lineage while holding her hand. Then she told her she still had some gifts that were untapped and that she could help her one day while she was here. Celia smiled and agreed . Then she had the girls help us. Celia made a growth potion to which I added my blood. I also filled a few vials with my blood that I handed over to Hortencia. She had Cora make little signs to stick in the dirt so we would know which was which while I dug holes and planted each seed. Once the potion was ready and the seeds planted I poured the potion on top of each one and began to sing. By the time I was done, each seed was now a blooming plant. The girls watched in awe, not actually having seen the full extend of my powers at work before. We stayed there chatting for just a little bit before we
Azalea We were late to breakfast but fashionably so. Everyone else had just sat down and when we walked into the dinning room we looked at each other and said together "It's his/her fault!" Everyone laughed including us as we took our seats. Breakfast was a light affair as we all knew there would be a full meal later this afternoon. After breakfast we broke off girls and boys so we could go get ready. Meli had several ladies coming over to give us mani pedi s and then later to do our make up and hair. I made sure to snap more pictures and had arranged previously with the twins to take some of their "guy bonding time" to add to my scrap book this afternoon. Meli was in and out with us as she was following up with the cutting and arranging of the flowers. She brought in some of the cut flowers for them to pin in her hair. She had arranged for a light lunch as well and as we ate we cracked jokes and laughed like we had done when we were in school together. We toasted to Cass
